good but episodes need to be longer with more gameplay and choices and QTES mattering more and so far there is no consequences for ur actions picking good option A vs terrible option B makes no difference in either episode

Amazing game! The humor, the concept, the artwork, the voice acting is chefs kiss. Surely brings me back to those magical 'Telltale' days. A treat! The writing is seriously so good, reels you in from the first scene. I just wish the episodes were longer, it ends so quickly. I need more of this. Muuuuuch more.

This game is somewhat split for me. The story, writing, and characters are all fantastic. The voice acting, as you would expect with this stacked cast, is second to none. The art style and animations are wonderful. It follows a very TellTale format of episodic stories with branching dialogue paths, with only 2 episodes available at the time of writing this, one of which is the one from the demo and the other is a tutorial. The actual gameplay is extremely lacking, even if enjoyable. It models itself off of similar games like This is the Police, or 911 Operator. The problem is with the episodic style of the game, you only do singular shifts and preset missions/tasks so gameplay is very railroaded even if you can choose how to respond to each incident. I would rate this game in two ways: If you love great storytelling with fantastic characters, art, and acting, this game is a 9/10. If you enjoy management/operator style games with dynamic gameplay, this game is a 5/10 at best. Considering you only get two good, but fairly barebone episodes, the price is a little steep even at a discount. I'll be interested to check back in whenever new episodes get released.

I just finished Episode 1 and this is my review so far: ✅ Aaron Paul and Laura Bailey being amazing ✅ Immersive story ✅ Telltale vibes are BACK ✅ Superhero story with zero superpowers — and I LOVE that It feels like Telltale rose from the grave and teamed up with Critical Role for this story. Even though it's a superhero story, I can already tell this game is going to emotionally destroy me all over again—but in the best way possible. It’s like The Walking Dead all over again, except now I’m older, sadder, and way too attached after just one episode. 10/10, would make terrible moral choices again.

"We joke, we laugh, we suppress our trauma." I almost forgot what good writing in games sounds like. This is like a Telltale Invincible game we never got. The mix between 2D and 3D is a really interesting art style. It feels like an interactive movie and it needs to become a TV show. This has one of the wildest VA cast lineups out there. I would never have thought of a day where I'd see Moist Cr1tikal, Jacksepticeye and Jesse Pinkman in a game together. I can't believe they got their hands on the actor that was in the Hunger Games. Yeah this was made by the same people who made Wolf Among Us, and hopefully they'll stick around to make a Wolf Among Us 2 with the same quality and care as well.
