DRAPLINE is an inventive and unexpectedly heartfelt roguelite that blends nurturing simulation with strategic resource management, all wrapped in a quirky pixel-art style. Set in a world on the brink of apocalypse, you adopt and raise a baby dragon with the goal of transforming her into a powerful defender within a single in-game year. Each run is concise—lasting about an hour—yet packed with meaningful choices, making it perfect for quick playthroughs or experimentation with different growth paths. What makes DRAPLINE stand out is its bizarre yet endearing feeding mechanic. The dragon can eat practically anything: food, gold, villagers’ homes, or even entire volcanic landscapes. What she consumes directly shapes her stats, personality, abilities, and physical form. Feeding her generously might make her stronger, but can plunge you into debt or leave the town in ruins. Balancing indulgence with responsibility adds a layer of moral and mechanical complexity that gives the game surprising emotional weight despite its whimsical exterior. The strategic depth becomes more apparent as you unlock and experiment with the wide variety of available abilities. With over 150 skills and numerous build paths, players can create dragons that specialize in poison, healing, high-damage attacks, or defensive buffs. Each run becomes a unique puzzle of managing your dragon’s development while navigating unpredictable events and tough boss fights. The game rewards creativity and adaptability, with different enemy types and evolving combat dynamics that keep you thinking even on repeat playthroughs. Despite its lighthearted tone and cute art direction, DRAPLINE doesn’t shy away from emotional storytelling. The dragon develops a personality based on how you raise her, and the choices you make shape her behavior, speech, and ultimate fate. Multiple endings—ranging from absurd to bittersweet—encourage exploration of different playstyles and choices, making every run feel personal. The writing is concise yet impactful, often hitting unexpectedly poignant notes amid all the fantasy chaos. As an Early Access title, DRAPLINE is already polished in many respects. The interface is user-friendly, the combat is smooth, and recent updates have added meaningful content like final boss battles, new difficulty settings, and additional skills. There’s a clear development roadmap promising more scenarios, endings, and customization features, and the solo developer has been responsive to community feedback with timely improvements and tweaks. While some aspects—like minor balancing issues or occasional UI clunkiness—still reflect its in-progress state, the game has been received positively by players who appreciate its blend of charm, challenge, and replayability. It’s an experience that mixes strategy with heart, offering short yet deep runs full of unexpected moments and satisfying progression. For fans of roguelites, monster-raising sims, or games that don’t take themselves too seriously while still offering real strategic substance, DRAPLINE is a refreshing and promising title worth watching as it continues to grow. This is basically Princess Maker if you had to feed your princess 900kg of trees to boost her agility so she can win the jrpg battles against other princesses I've completed one run so far and had a ton of fun, def looking forward to seeing what can happen on other runs, and where the game goes in future updates. My only complaint so far is that it crashes a lot in it's current early state, so make sure to save often.

What a great game! A loli dragon girl feeding simulator rougelite with runs lasted around 2-3 hours each (You can save in-between). The art's charming, the music's too good to be just a small indie game, the replayable gameplay with various paths to pursue, and the story that's so wholesome. This is one of those rare gems you should embrace with love. Wow, what a charming game. The game's not finished yet though. There's more to the story in the future update.

This game is adorable and a lot of fun, but twice now I've had this bizarre bug where I get sent back to week 1 after starting a finishing a week. Happened after the summer camp, and after the second boss. I have no idea how this happened, but I'm going to assume it's rare.

Played the demo a while back during next fest, glad to see the game release so soon! Only issue I've had is the game seems to force V-Sync so it runs at 600 fps for me and animations are sped up a bit but I'm sure I can find a way to fix it if I tinker a little. EDIT: Limiting FPS via NVIDIA Control Panel fixes this issue. Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings > Add DRAPLINE > Max Frame Rate: 60 FPS
