A dated game, but still fun. I don't think it's worth it at full price anymore. On sale, it's definitely worth it. Rogue-lite, little grinding, lots of randomness. Easy mode is the normal one, too easy is the simple one. As we all know, naming things is difficult. Graphics-wise, it's a genre you either love or hate. Personally, I love it, as well as the audio and mood. If you're looking for a game to complete until the last achievement though, stay away. Some of them are required in multiplayer, but there's no one online today to get there.
Hard and fun. Don't get discouraged by the difficulties, I feel like they are almost a a joke of sorts. There are two difficulties, "Too Easy" and "Easy", which feel like "Normal" and "Hard". I just won my first run after having owned the game for 11 years, and finally deciding to go for "Too Easy" :)
Absolutely love this game. Awesome vibe, great mix of strategy/tower defence with it's own interesting mechanics that make the strategy side really interesting and you really get that x4 vibe from get resources each time you open a door, very similar to going to the next turn. Team effort with extra team members that can be found over-time. You can even do a run with a dog. Designed with the feedback and help from the community, that studio is awesome for community engagement. Pre-Sega and post-Sega games are the bests. Second version of this /w Sega was a terrible follow up to this game with a legendary potential. I'd love to this another one in that spirit from them!
This game feels like a hidden gem. I admit that the game play is not for everyone. It is a rogue like tower defense game. It is challenging even if the two choices of difficulty are "Too easy" or "Easy". Interesting lore, unique characters (some will remind you of already established icons). It is more efficient and fun to play with friends, but good luck finding many that vibes with the game.
