For years I have enjoyed playing games by Kairosoft on mobile. Dungeon Village 2 is not one I have tried on mobile before, so I thought, why not? I was very excited when I found out that they also have their games available on Steam, especially because I am visually impaired by both nearsightedness and farsightedness. It is much easier for me to play games on the computer. Anyway, like all other Kairosoft games I have played, the gameplay loop is the perfect amount of challenging to keep me engaged and not feel overwhelming. The character design (people and monsters) is charming as always and the dialogue and music also add a fun touch to the game. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys base-building games, farming games, and other management simulation games.
As a long time fan of Kairosoft games, I'm happy a lot are now on Steam. I love just shutting off my brain and playing this casually. One suggestion though is to allow players to choose the resolution of the game, I play on an ultrawide monitor, so it would be nice if I can have the game running on 1/3 of my screen instead
I didn't think I'd like this game as much as I do. It's sort of addicting, but in a good way. I renamed the townies with my friends names, which makes it more interesting. Honestly, worth the money. My one complaint...it needs a better tutorial. I had to go through the menu a bunch of times to figure things out. Once you figure it out, you're set.
