I like this game, it has a lot of interesting things. Some sort of mix between traditional and roguelike games. Tons of content, humor and fun things. Negative part is clunky control. My last two death of high level characters were mostly due to those. By accident my range shot itself with special ability..quick and clean death. This happens due to some controls delay(in turn based game) that triggered ability is firing next turn. Second is clunk inventory system, it takes some time to find a potion of healing. And quick access toolbar doesn't help much. 10 slots with ability to scroll them but the scroll button is very small, hotkey is same as some system key. Pretty irritating.

A reference for its open and persistent world with a large cast of monsters and baddies, The Academy provides permanent bonuses and the way the game handles your character's death allows to test all classes within a single playthrough. Character progression is robust and gear offers plenty of opportunities to question your build. The "one more dungeon" is strong with this one. Still updated after more than a decade of enhancements.

Absolutely brilliant and worth every penny. Alongside Tales of Maj Eyal, one of the best games in thee roguelike RPG genre. The thing that makes this game stand out is that you get to continue after a character dies with a new one, with added bonuses if a prior character reaches a high enough level, but I wont spoiler that mechanic too much.

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite roguelikes, it's an easy buy if you can get it on a sale. The most fun I had in this game, was wearing an armor set, that caused "certain" enemies to die, if they saw me, litterly 90% of the mobs would drop dead.
