I used to play this game in the arcades back in the 90s, I am so happy it came back. It's a faithful remake. Yes you get unlimited lives but these games are brutal to play on a single quarter. I remember dumping about $5-$10 in for a full playthrough when I was a kid. :D This version of the game has both Tower of Doom and Shadow over Mystara, but I highly recommend the latter game because it's just a more refined system with more fun stuff + extra classes. So if you dislike Tower of Doom, just go to the other game, it's a lot more fun IMO. Also... this game has TONS and TONS and TONS of secrets and other hidden things within it. It takes a while to get used to the controls and experimenting to find secret items, hidden attack combos and fighting game moves that each character has. Example... One sword's name is actually really cool for a game of this era. Seriously... It names itself after the highest score person on the cabinet! It sounds silly and simple, but that's just a neat feature for an arcade cabinet in the 90s if you got it. I kind of wish more games did that :D Also, side note, I *read a long time ago* that this game heavily inspired the Dungeon Fighter Online / Dungeon & Fighter series.

Really wish that Capcom can pool resources to build one good base platform that provide online service for such games. Might be more efficient and last longer. Personally I think it's a good idea to make each game a DLC,but I dunt understand why make more than 1 platform.

All the fun of Golden Axe (complete with half naked, well oiled human barbarian) , Streets of Rage, Metal Slug, Battle Axe , and Wild Guns. Do yourself a favor and play this with a controller , put on some headphones to enjoy the tunes, and relive those classic Friday evenings after school playing your Genesis until 3:00AM. I give this 4.5 fireworks out of 5!

Fun classic beat 'em up. Not balanced in the slightest. Gives you that real authentic quarter eating arcade game you'd save up your weekly allowance for. Worth the buy!

I used to play this game at Aladdin's Castle back in the 90's. I love it just as much now as I did then. So many fond memories.
