Okay, I don't review often; But this game deserves all the love I can give it, and more. This is the closest thing I've played to the p*kemon mystery dungeon series, so it hits right in the nostalgia; the fight mechanics are different, but in a good way... reminds me of f*re emblem and, just like pmd, the music tracks are banger after banger and they don't get old. Am I a degenerate furry simp? Yes, yes I am, so maybe I'm biased but I haven't enjoyed a game this much since zero dawn, and I haven't heard music this good since psmd so credit where it's due. The story is honestly longer than I thought it would be, and it has plenty of unexpected turns to stay fresh, too. Can't recommend it enough!

It's quite dynamic! the enemy is constantly adapting to your moves forcing you to do the same, it gets challenging. On top of that, the artwork is superb and the music is lovely. While the main Rivals of Aether usually sounds similar to Megaman X (which sounds super good, give that a listen too if you haven't) this game's OST will remind you of the Sega Genesis/Megadrive, more specifically Shining Force, OST super recommended too :D Don't let the dice fool you, luck won't get you too far. Victory is up to you!!

This game was really fun to find out what can click at a moment's notice. Every fight can potentially feel different depending on what you got on you and I think that's really neat. My biggest complaint is that the game is so short. The story could also use more time with the characters and their development. But what was there was a really solid experience! I'd love for a sequel in any shape or form. I've yet to try the challenge mode but I absolutely love the gameplay so I'll probably be back to try it out.

Game's really good. Music's great, the sprite work is incredible, the story is fine but its mechanics are fun. The fights are incredibly challenging due to the luck based behavior of dice. Most turns you'll be scrambling just to protect yourself, until you get a good roll for either a set up turn or actual hit. If you treat the combat in this game as more of a battle of attrition, it becomes a very particular kind of fun that I really enjoy that I haven't seen anywhere else. The game gets very easy once you get your builds going, and even the final boss fight ends in a few turns if you know what you're doing. Also, save scumming is really easy, so having fun is easy.

Genuinely challenging, to downright frustrating at points... However, despite that, 10/10 game. Great characters, great gameplay, great writing, great humor, great story, just GREAT EVERYTHING. Even more fun when you play with a group of friends all doing voices! Genuinely peak game, would recommend to anyone!
