If you're debating getting this game and aren't sure here's some questions I had before i got it: "Is this a milsim?" --- No, well, sorta, its much more arcade-y gameplay but you can bleed if you get shot "Is this game multiplayer?" --- Yes but not mainly, single player is the main mode of the game and there's multiplayer as a addition. "Is this game hard to run?" --- No, Its well optimised and has enough settings to tweak to make your head spin. "Is this like call of duty?" --- Think more like Battlefield but in single player where you spend multiple missions fighting across a massive map, Its alot like it's own sorta thing haven't seen other games like this really. "Whats with all the dlcs?" --- Don't worry this isn't enlisted, they are more like map packs that each add hours of content and new weapons/equipment, they also add free campaigns every time a new one comes out. "This game looks like shit." --- Its a unity game made by a very small studio of like 5 people with a small budget and the screenshots and videos are outdated, at the time of me typing this they are recreating every map to be of a much higher quality. "Why does everybody call this single player enlisted on youtube?" --- The gameplay is pretty simular, just with smarter bots and with missions during huge battle instead. "Should I buy this if I dont like milsims?" --- Yeah, totally. It looks jarring but its easy to figure out and its nothing like arma or games like that. "eveyone says the ai is terrible" --- The devs are trying to fix it right now and any review before 2025 had the game having different ai then it does now, you can always refund it before two hours if you find it that bad. uhh yeah try out the game i ended up loving it and ive been playing since 2023 so whatca got to loose

Incredibly fun game, probably the best WW2 themed one I've ever played. Very easy to pick back up after a grueling week or two that you've been unable to play anything at all, and it will still provide a satisfying experience of being just a single a cog in the war machine. Some random good gameplay features: 1.) Crosshairs are off by default, and aiming down the sights provides almost no zoom. You can "focus"/hold your breath by holding shift which will zoom in a bit, but that lasts only a short while 2.) No kill markers by default and no score. Sure, go ahead and mow down 2 squads of Germans / Brits / Americans / French / Italians / Japanese / Chinese, won't matter one bit if you're unsuccessful in capturing your team's objectives. You hid instead and barely wounded a soldier 700m behind a bunch of sandbags? All of the enemy positions were captured, good job. As I've said - a cog in the machine. 3.) You die easily and a lot if you're not careful, but you can't just respawn if there are squadmates still available - you have to take one of them over, which means if you've initially been a medic that's rushing to the frontline to revive a fallen teammate (which in itself is a very mini minigame of choosing the correct treatment), now you might be calling in artillery from behind (which, again, is an interesting mini minigame which is enough to make it an order of magnitude more interesting than usual artillery call of clicking on a map). 4.) Suppression effects. Very effective - your screen darkens and your aim starts wobbling. But hey, no reason then to not empty your clip upstream at the enemy - they'll feel the same effects. 5.) You'll be pinned and won't be able to advance. It will probably result in a couple of respawns and it will seem like there's no way to move forward without getting mowed down by random fire, and then someone somewhere will break through just a little bit further than usual, enemy will react and maybe, just maybe, you'll witness their entire line collapse. 6.) Explosions, far, nearby, whatever, but always often. You'll plan your approach very carefully, move only during the lull in the fighting and take cover prudently, keep your head down when you hear the artillery whistling and still receive a 105mm shell to the bald spot on your head. 7.) Destructible buildings. 8.) Enterable buildings, but hey, see point 7 if a tank is looking in your general direction. 9.) Driveable tanks, troop transports, cars, trucks, aircraft. VERY janky, but fun. Especially tanks. Damage works by component, so if you see a Jagdpanther, hit its tracks and try to go around to hit the sides. 10.) HUGE maps, though missions are concentrated on a small part of them. But you'll be running around a lot, or driving there. I've left the combat during the Normandy missions, took a car and drove around the beaches, miles from actual combat. 11.) You can pick up enemy inventory as you see fit, any part of it. See an STG-44 with a scope, and you're armed only with a tommy gun? Sure, pick that force multiplier up freely, ignore the rest. No "class kits" besides your starting equipment. Scope impedes your close quarters aiming? Take it off. Like your enemies' pants more than yours? Sucks to be him and naked I guess. 12.) Very good variety of guns and equipment. 13.) No ammo counters, unless you count. No automatic reload by default - you'll see an enemy, take aim, fire and hear only a click, because what you thought was only 4 shots was actually 5. Then you respawn as an AT unit with Pzb39 trying to take on KV-1s. 14.) You eat tuna cans to regain health. 15.) Finally, SINGLE PLAYER is EXCELLENT. If the game was three times as expensive as I paid for it, it would still be money well spent. It's developed by a single developer, but it receives meaningful updates very often. It has 3 or 4 DLC which are basically new maps, factions and vehicles, they're very cheap and worth it. Graphics, while not photorealistic are very good, and view distance on most maps allows shooting out to around a kilometer. Wholeheartedly recommend this game.

Game play is challenging, and game play mechanics are excellent, but, expect to die... the AI is pretty lame (*after 50 hours in game, The AI cheats... or isn't programmed to be effective) with enemy squads numerous, and your supporting troops, the AI is dumb as a box of rocks. Enemy tactics include flanking you and inserting behind you, sometimes spawning within your lines. Friendly AI could use some programming for "keep your head down" and "seek cover"... when defending rather than attacking, troops routinely stand out in the open as target dummies. Yes, and don't shoot your own troops... especially tanks. The game runs smooth as silk on LINUX... (Ubuntu) with several graphics demanding options turned up. *50+ hour NOTE: At over 50 hours in-game, I note that the enemy AI absolutely "knows where you are" and does not run on line of sight... very disappointing considering how fun the game is otherwise. That's horrendously disappointing. The aggressor AI is not that good, and I'm not that bad... that's [no longer] a toss-up; (50+) very often shoots through obstacles like massive boulders and disabled armor even at a distance. Your own troops can't be trusted to guard your flank nor your six while you deal devastation. Your squad mates routinely ignore enemies right in front of them. (50+ A) Not only do your own troops stand out in the open like "Brits going over the top for the big push into the teeth of WW1 German machine guns...", as squad leader you give orders that they just ignore. I've routinely found that after leading an attack, dying, and re-spawning in as another squad member, that squad member is back two or three objectives where we left them ten or twenty minutes ago; meaning, we died likely because we lacked their squad firepower... That isn't strategy, that's marketing the game as soon as it "works," not when it's "ready to play". That shit angers me when I see it, and I've seen it in other games as well. Thankfully, this game is cheap and while wasting my time, didn't waste my money as well. For that reason alone, I'll pass on additional download content and keep my money until this company improves the product. (50+B) Apparently with tanks where they show on your screen is not where they are effectively in the game. More than once I ran with my tank in-between myself and a threat, at what I thought was a good interval of 10 to 15 feet only to have the tank run me and other squad members over. F%$*^* stupid. Graphics are a little dated, but I've certainly played other games for much longer with much worse graphics! You can't beat sheer time in game for the price... there are LOTS of maps and scenarios and these are linked into related campaigns which are historically related to the period and WWII theater. The maps are large enough that I have yet to run into the end of a "zone", despite chasing enemy aircraft to their far afield death. (at 50+, there's still alot of content for the money, the content game-play just becomes increasingly more disappointing as you see the patterns of abject failure in the AI) Play the training missions until you get the hang of it all, that pays off. The medic is shown what tool to use when the casualty's injury is displayed, pay attention to the tool. Work the tank as the gunner; you can aim, change ammo, and still drive the tank. You have to be the commander (I think) to get your crew to fix minor damage on the fly... there are also repair and rearm bays for the tanks; which aren't in the tutorial. These repair bays look like block and tackle; drive in and wait... Air combat and flight, while fun, needs an upgrade. The engine makes the same lame racket like you're idling on a runway no matter where you have the throttle. Also, flight dynamics and physics aren't very realistic. The game could also use an in-game medals and ribbons system, flying ace, silver star, purple heart, etc... while some of those are achievements on Steam, it isn't the same. Ribbons might be awarded for campaign objective and theaters of operation as they are with the military. That said, the game can still be fun... When I've died multiple times in quick succession because the AI can see me sniping from 10 feet back from a window or can find me with a machine gun behind a obstacle I can't see through myself, I quit and go play something else. (50+ note, I hope the dev's fix some of these issues, the game is still fun, but is 60% of how good it could be.)

If you want to play a really fun and authentic WWII game, but would rather play PVE and avoid the P2W, online toxic player bases, elitist and gate-keeping player bases. This is it and a must have for any WWII enthusiast and players. As gamer from the mid 80's I can appreciate a time where developers would put out solid games, that allowed the option of playing online, while still focusing on a full game experience with the base game vs AI. It's very affordable, the devs are constantly updating, DLCs are regular, and can be run on lower end spec PCs. You can pilot, drive, and operate any machine from 1939-1945, including 3rd person and first person mode, where you can shoot any weapon from the era. All theaters of the war are represented, with all Axis and Allied factions represented authentically. You can go through historical campaigns alone, or with a buddy online. You can even create your own scripted scenarios. What else could you ask for? a solid recommendation from me.
