April 2025
I played this game for about 10 minutes back in 2015 then farmed 7.5 hours for Steam cards. The reason I picked it up now is because I played a trivia game that asked "In what video game does the main character seek revenge for his stolen butt?" The answer being this one. Out of curiosity I reinstalled this game and it turns out a precise jumping game with constant *questionable* background music. The gameplay is about jumping and running forward, with some portal/wall jumping and rockets chase. I was blind by lights from some levels so I stopped after half an hour, when I don't see much variety. Overall, it’s not a terrible game and I think back in the day, I got more value out of the cards than I paid for the game (on a 90% off discount). First and foremost, I am miserable at platforming in games. I felt this game was challenging, sometimes made no sense, I think the story had something to do with butts?, overall was an interesting couple hours. I died 262 times on a single level (again, terrible at platforming), felt super deterred, wanted to break my monitor in half, managed to pull through, beat that level, and the rest of the game. The complaints I have are that taking away my power-ups in the game made no sense. Why would the people I am helping take away my power that allows me to help more? Then again, the story revolves around people getting their butts stolen so idk if anything is supposed to make sense. Additionally, some of the areas just felt unnecessarily hard, very precise movement and timing were needed to the point I was happy the area was over instead of feeling like I accomplished something. The positives were that the level design was sick with flashing colors and cool music to back it up. The story, although making little sense, was funny and memorable throughout he game, and lastly, although frustrating at times, I did enjoy the challenge that came along with the game. I would recommend this game if you want a challenge and enjoy bright colors and loud music!
