Rugwort is my MORTAL ENEMY. In the rugwort version where you play against the AI mode wow the amount of times I had to play to beat that evil rat king. It's very different from typical games where it's usually in your advantage to slow down your worker placement as much as possible instead the quicker and less turns you take to get as many events as you can, the better. Anyways. About the game in general: I like this game a...mild amount. It has the most gorgeous art ever from one of the greatest board games ever, with all the critters being so charming. I absolutely love how your avatar you choose turns and waves back at you sometimes as an idle action. Super cute. Tip to gamers: Something I learned recently from another online player is that in pictures of critters, the bottom left corner has the number of lines etched on a tree trunk- that's how many of that card exists in the deck. Blew my mind when I found this out. I get tired of setting up the actual game (and my roommates are tired of playing with me) so this game has been a godsend. Pros: Flows smoothly, everything is well-thought out, and playing with the expansion and legendary critters is really fun. I don't own the actual physical expansion and honestly, after experiencing it in online modes its a bit hard to go back to the normal one. There's just a lot more options you get and your city STILL feels like it has limited space. Super fun feature, and the other challenges (besides Rugwort, I hate you Rugwort) are fun and creative ideas such as a game where you start in autumn season or a game where the critters and habitats they belong to are randomized. On a different note, if Rugwort that rat is my least favorite character, the ranger is by far the best. Such a cute fox. Wanderers get a shout-out too because I love their vibe and how they take up no space. Also the flavor text for all the critters are so fun. In terms of legendary expansion I feel like the historian critter is kind of broken. If you have that one, you're almost set for the rest of the game. Add the ruins legendary construction, and you're truly OP. They're all fun though. The little sound effects are very fitting for the game and all the animal noises the critters make. Especially since sometimes playing online you can come across players that stall a lot so having every action have a distinct noise is quite helpful to me so you can have it on the background and hear that it's your turn to go. User experience has been really good. Cons? Not really, there have been a few times in like super niche cases I've found. For example sometimes if I have a miner mole in my own city activated and then I go activate a chipsweeper in an opponent's city sometimes I can go back and activate my own city, or sometimes it stops and I can't. I feel like it's sporadic or maybe i'm mis-remembering, maybe this is an illegal action anyways, might have been nice if I choose that for the devs to add a feature where it says its invalid and I can change my mind. There's been a couple times when I do a route with minermole and/or chipsweeper and I end up not being able to do anything. Also a bug I think I've seen one time in like dozens of games where I couldn't move a fool to any opponent so I ended up having to wait-out my turn's 2 minutes since I was frozen in action. But for the most part my experience has been bug-free and these are pretty minor. Overall, big fan of this game, would hugely recommend it. It can be quite addictive to play...

Got this on sale, I have always been interested in the boardgame but i don't have many opportunities to play games like this on a table in real life so I was excited to see there was an electronic edition of it! Very fun! My type of game! I love the different strategies you can go for to get points.

So I own the base game, originally from Kickstarter. I have continued to buy expansions as they come out. I ordered the digital game and have been playing for a couple days and I love it! I’m just hoping they come out with the expansions as well!

A friend told me into this game, constantly telling me about it, how good it was, all that typical stuff you'd hear from someone. So I finally bought it. She was right. :)

This game is so cute and mirrors the whimsy of the original board game. I hope that they get the additional packs that the board game has. I do have one complaint and that it is the controller controls are very clunky.
