It's a good game, and if you're a big fan of Enter the Gungeon, you'll *probably* appreciate it. Where Enter the Gungeon was like a well beloved TV series that ran for 12 fantastic seasons, Exit the Gungeon is like a made for TV movie that comes out years afterwards n' brings the crew back together. The vibe is off, it's not as good, but that's all right because you get to see the crew again. It's a decent game, much much shorter n' easier than Enter the Gungeon, but unlike Enter the Gungeon I don't feel a hankering for 100%'ing this game. I got plenty of stuff still to unlock, but how many times am I going to run through the whole game just to unlock more guns and items? It's not like Enter the Gungeon where you grind your way to being able to fully complete the game with all the hidden levels and bosses, in this game I got to the dragon on my first attempt, killed him on my second and after 12 hours I got 5 kills on the extra final boss. Every other boss that you kill 5 times in this game unlocks something, but I didn't seem to get anything for doing it to the toughest boss in the game. So, whatever, it's a good game for someone who wants more Gungeon in their life, worth the $2 I spent on it.

Not a bad game, quite fun actually. But as a follow up to one of the best Roguelikes of all time? it pales in comparison. If you want to play this after playing the original Gungeon, sure, but keep your expectations low. EDIT: After playing it and reading about it more, it's clear that this game was never even meant to be a fully fledged sequel to ETG, only a bite sized experience compared to it. And i honestly just feel bad for the devs at this point. People expected this game to be on the same level as and maybe even better than ETG when it wasn't even supposed to be an actual sequel, so this game got blasted by a lot of people. Which is a shame because this game is still has a lot qualities. This all could've been avoided if it was communicated better. Still, this is a good game.

Exit the Gungeon isn't as good as Enter the Gungeon, but you shouldn't expect it to be. It's a fun spinoff that costs less and is meant to be a shorter experience. I enjoy this game and I think Enter the Gungeon enjoyers might like it to if they give it a chance.

I was expecting a game just like Enter the Gungeon, and instead I got something entirely different. The graphics, the items, weapons and mechanics, the characters, are mostly the same as of the previous game... But the game becomes more of a platformer game, with some new mechanics to keep it a refreshing, new game. Also, this is a much lighter game, runs are shorter, difficulty is much lower, but also most loot doesn't feel as good as it would in the previous game. Nonetheless, boss fights are even more intense than the previous game, soundtrack is just as amazing, and the bullet hell element is still ever-present, leaving that satisfying gungeon feel. It's really worth playing if you enjoyed Enter the Gungeon. And while entering the gungeon took waaaay longer and lots more struggle, exiting will feel like a walk in the park - but a pleasurable one.

I liked it when they exited the Gungeon and they said it was Gungeoning time and they Gungeoned all over the place upsides is funny combo's and stuff and random gun mode is now a starting thing. downsides feels like i am limited on power unlike in Binding of issac and the game is now a 2D platformer No buttplug support.
