Personal Rating: Slightly Positive (60%) I don't know why, but this game fell off in my eyes. It's not scary, except the loud jumpscares. The difficulty is also weird. Normal feels too easy, and Hard feels extra difficult. The Stamina is it's own thing, you delplete it in 5 seconds, and then it takes 15 seconds to recover. The graphics are not that good, but I know it's an older game, as I used to play it on mobile back in the day. I won't give it a thumbs down, because it's a quick learner game that is quite entertaining, but it's a close call.
It's thrilling when the monster can turn a moment of exploration into a frantic chase within seconds, especially in nightmare mode, where the monster can easily outrun the player and it becomes a 50/50 chance whether or not the thing will end up on the same floor. Otherwise, it's a game of patience and cat and mouse (or hide and seek).
ENG: I remember that 12 years ago, at the beginning of the game, I spawned in a room next to a bed, surrounded by red brick walls. Now I spawn somewhere else. At least that room is still there. JPN: 12年前、ゲームを始めたときはベッドのある部屋でスポーンして、周りは赤レンガの壁に囲まれていたのを覚えています。今は別の場所でスポーンするようになりました。でも、少なくともあの部屋はまだ残っています。
Considering how much trash there is in the mobile horror genre, Eyes is a welcome break. A lot of younger horror fans probably had their first horror experience playing it on their phones, and for that audience, it holds up surprisingly well. It doesn't do anything especially creative, but it also doesn't really fall short in any area. It's simple, fun, and gets the job done. Obviously, there are far better horror games out there, but anyone looking for an early 2010s nostalgia trip or wanting to experience what mobile horror felt like during that era should definitely give Eyes a try. It captures that period of mobile horror surprisingly well and remains an enjoyable experience even today.
