It's a very strange game, but ultimately it was a good time. The main mechanic of the game- having specific weapons you need to use for specific enemies- is mostly cool. Sometimes, in big group fights, it can be easy to get overwhelmed and flustered, but that's also just part of the game's difficulty. The most annoying thing is that the game's difficulty curve spikes hard towards the end, and the final boss fight is a little long and kind of drags on. Ultimately though, the game's presentation, music, and gameplay are all pretty enjoyable and very unique, and I had a good enough time with it that I played it through in one sitting on stream. I'd recommend it!

Man am I late to the party. I had this on my wish list after hearing good things and for whatever reason bought it a few days ago. This is unironically such a great boomer shooter. The weapons all sound and feel amazing to use. The game is legit pretty hard on the higher difficulties. The movement is fast without feeling slippery or out of control. The soundtrack is a complete bop while also fitting perfectly in with the humorous tone. I don't know how they did it but I think this is a perfect game? If you've EVER liked a boomer shooter you owe it to yourself to try this one. If you've NEVER liked a boomer shooter this is a great introduction to the genre. Fashion Police Squad is a joyous triumph. Buy it now!
I really wish Steam had a neutral rating. The game itself isn't bad. Having to use different weapons to take out enemies is a cool idea. Having to use strategy and take out the heavy hitters first. That's fine until there are so many enemies on the screen you don't know what weapon to use first. What really turned me off from this was the platforming....it felt like I had to jump at just the right spot to land. Then if you didn't land right, you don't have enough momentum to bounce forward. The boss fights were fun at least. A 6/10 game.
