Short and sweet, genuinely funny, doesn't let any of the jokes drag on for too long. The core shooting is kind of better than it has any right to be for a project this small, and all of the levels are unique and memorable in their own way. It takes a lot of work to make something like this "look" low effort. Huge easy recommendation.
Let's be real. You've seen the store page. You know what you're getting into. If a throwback to the 2010s in the form of absolute sensory overload is what you're looking for, this game has some genuinely good gameplay, fun level design, and tons of nostalgic humor. More than enough to keep you busy for a good few hours, with a solid number of secrets to keep you going for longer if that's your sort of thing. If crimes against perception aren't what you're looking for, you probably didn't even make it down here to read this review in the first place.
It would be easy to dismiss this game as a bunch of low-effort, meme-filled nonsense. But that's not really fair. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of nonsense here. But play it for more than a few levels and you'll find some creative ideas and actual care that has gone into level design. There's actually a competent shooter underneath it all. It won't win any awards for gameplay, but it isn't painful to play. It definitely won't be for everyone. But if your can handle all the meme-filled nonsense, it's a short and entertaining romp as you power slide around a corner in bullet-time, shoot a guy in the head while your assault rifle calls him a wanker, and your screen fills with spodermen, sanics, and dancing snoop doggs.
Unironically a really good boomer shooter. I'm a bit disappointed that the original memes couldn't make it into the game due to copyright issues. However, the game is still if not more overstimulating as the original. I was able to get 69th place on the global leaderboard in endless mode, nice.
