This game requires you spend time grinding for everything. youll grind for healing items before you go grind for materials for gear before you go grind biomes to progress. But it is fantastic.

šŸŽ® Difficulty Curve: Starts off easy—just vibing, crafting, building… then suddenly, everything wants to kill you. Classic. šŸ‘€ Graphics: Outdated? Yep. Unplayable? Not at all. If you’ve ever loved old-school games, your imagination will do the rest. šŸ•¹ļø Controls & UX: Ever tried catching a wild animal with a net? I did, and I’ll never forget the pain. It works… eventually. Controls are a bit clunky but nothing game-breaking. šŸ”„ Replayability: Somehow, you keep coming back. Just one more crafting session… and suddenly it’s 3 AM. ✨ What Makes It Unique? A weirdly charming mix of old-school simplicity and contemporary adventure RPG mechanics. Somehow, it just works. šŸ’° Worth the money? For the price? Absolutely. Just don’t expect AAA graphics and polish. āš ļø Heads-up: The game isn’t actively maintained anymore, so don’t expect updates or bug fixes. There’s a newer version out now (Force of Nature 2)—I haven’t played it yet, but here’s hoping it’s even better! šŸ‘ Final Verdict: Yes! – 7.5/10

A fun although at times grind-like game. I would say the grind aspect is the crafting of the better health and stamina items likely needed for combat - because ultimately you will be engaged in melee to reasonably defeat most things unless ping-ponging aggro with friends through ranged combat. My "pro-tip" would be to dual wield your weapon / tool of choice, or in other words, in terms of this game's mechanics, coordinating the switching of two like items in the hot key slots (i.e. a mace in both slots 1 & 2). Besides that, FoN is an as advertised, enjoyable game without the need or temptation of using a wiki or other third-party tool.

Really outdated graphics, but overall great game that sucks u in. Best to play with someone and for lowers of grinding, theres a lot of it!

So far so good. The controls were weird to get used to but once you get it then it's fine. Crafting can take a long time because some things have so many steps, it's not too much of a complaint either. I think my biggest complaint is no sprinting. I think that should be a must in survival games because as low levels, if you get over taken you need to be able to retreat. There is no way to do that. If you are dying, you are just dying because there is no way to escape. Yes, I heard speed potions are a thing later in game but sprinting in general should be a thing.
