A very short game, took me less than 20 minutes to beat it so the extra hours I have was me achievement hunting. Essentially you go through room quickly killing every ennemies before moving on the next one and reaching the floor's exit. Inbetween floors you can choose from a selection of buffs, with sometimes a weapon instead in the choices, that also comes with a debuff. In a nutshell it's Ultrakill but with a focus on speed over styling on the ennemy. It's a good game if you had half an-hour to kill, or like me spend a couple of hours to do everything it has to offer. But it's not without flaws: -There's multiple weapon to choose from, but once you realize which ones are the best ones for you there's really no reason to pick another up instead of a buff. Ever since I realized that the railgun one-shot most ennemies with a quick rate of fire I rarely bothered with the other weapons the game offers. -It has a dash, like Ultrakill, but here it kills your speed so hard that it felt more like a brake. It is especially a pain in the third stage as you need to jump between platforms, many times I've fallen because I thought I would keep the speed I had from sliding after dashing. -On the topic of Ultrakill it also has a melee attack that reflects projectile. Here I have found little use for it beside grinding the achievement tied to the mechanic. -It has jump pads, but it feels like it only works half of the time. Sometimes when I walk over one it only make me jump only few centimeters off the ground. Very unreliable. -The base mouse sensitivity is HORRIBLE for this type of game... But that can be easily changed in the option, it just didn't give me a strong first impression. Despite the small flaws this game is worth its very cheap price, but I don't expect it to get more content. As of the time I wrote this review it's been 13 months since its last update.
Game feels very short. Completed the main game under 45 minutes. There are additional game modes as well but didn't try those yet. Game seems geared towards Speed-running enthusiasts. Game is alright. Sliding feels nice and the player movement is very quick. Balancing could use some work though. The balancing of the guns and perks are a bit all over the place. Some buffs/guns are clearly better than others and some are guns/debuffs insanely game losing. (E.g. Being forced to walk forward whenever you're in combat) For the price it's being sold at, I can't really complain (especially when it goes on sale). Make sure to turn off the VFX overlays for a clearer visual experience.
