Most of this game is dialogs that go off on weird and unnecessary tangents, and wacky animal characters having issues and dancing. I loved it. It's really just interactive fiction with some very simple fetch/trade quests, but it's cute and full of humor. You have a magnifying glass for some reason, but the only thing I used it for was funny beach creatures that served no other purpose than being funny. There's only one actual challenge, which is also the only real choice you can make - an extremely difficult and not at all serious one. It's a very short game, but it features a chapter select that makes it easy to get the only missable achievement. It's part 1 of a little series, but it doesn't feel like an unfinished story that you need to buy the sequel to. Probably underwhelming if you play it for the mystery. A cute little narrative game that kept me pretty entertained for about one afternoon. In my foolishness, I actually thought this was a detective game all about collecting clues and solving little puzzles and of course, cracking the big case at the end. In actuality, this game consists of running around a quaint, sunny little island, talking to its anthropomorphic inhabitants and exchanging items to get to the bottom of a ghostly mystery. It's a game with heart, charm and some genuinely funny writing. Get yourself a friend, play this game together on the couch and imitate each animal's voice, you'll have a good laugh, I tell ya. Don't go into this expecting a life changing gaming experience. It's just a fun game you can squeeze in between playing bigger titles and it's worth your time. It's the only game I've played so far that had a breakdancing mouse in it and for that alone, I have nothing but praise.

A short but cute game. First of all the game isn't really complexe or anything like that. Mostly it is about talking to the characters and progressing while obtaining Items they need to exchange them for new ones other characters need. Despite not being a detective game where you solve the mysterie by connecting clues - it still is a cute game and if you need to kill some time go for it.

It's honestly the perfect little bite-sized, fun for an hour or so game. Sometimes in life, you don't need an Elden Ring or a Warhammer, you just need a Frog Detective.
