This is a very fun 3D platformer that is kind of like a collectathon while mostly representing an afternoon with friends. You go around doing little tasks and having fantastical adventures. Not the bestest game of all time, but a heartwarming adventure, similar to "A Short Hike" Completing the main story 100% took me about 3.5 hours (with the DLC taking another 2.5). + The upgrade system is imaginative! + Movement is enjoyable and smooth. + Exploration is well-rewarded. + The writing and charactarisation is really fun. + The map is enormous and there's lots to do. + You eventually get upgrades to help find everything. + The DLC is more of the same, but with a new story and some nice new powers! - The music is kind of repetitive. - No actual 'map', but I guess that's okay. An easy recommend for a fun afternoon with friends (no actual multiplayer).
I played the main game and the DLC and have 40/41 achievements (amberly's race in the DLC is killing me) But this is such a cute game as an older sister that didnt have time for her brother this hit a little too close to home. But i loved meeting all the new characters, the make-believe game was cute and the gameplay simple, yet not boring (at least for me, i love searching all the nooks and cranies and everything) The game was not so short that it would leave me wanting more, nor so long that it would get annoying. I loved the artstyle, and the characters, and the story. This is definitely a low stress, chill game (except for the freaking race in the DLC i wanna cry im so bad at games ><) which i enjoyed very much I have however basically 100% the game and dont really see myslef coming back to it, doesnt have much replayability if thats something thats important for you. Fun gadgets and weapons, cute game, i liked it 💜
I’ve never reviewed a game on here before, but my God, this one is incredible. To think that it was made by such a small team, it’s just a masterpiece. Both the game and the DLC are just incredible. Great storytelling, perfect mechanics, and the perfect level of goofiness and challenge. I would highly recommend it for players of all ages and I’m really hopeful. The team continues to put out new DLC and storyline.
Many people write that this game brings back memories of childhood. It truly does. If you want to remember how wonderful life was back then, free from responsibility and worries, when the world was simpler and you had no fears, this game is definitely for you. When I have children, this game will be one of the first I introduce them to. Such a wonderful look at friendship, relationships, and respect for others. And if someone had given me (as a child) the idea of using cardboard and paints like the kids do in this game, oh, I would have rebuilt my entire neighborhood. 10/10
These are some terribly dark times we're living in. I have found it hard to escape for a while, the burdens of real life has followed me as every attempt of escapism failed. Try as I have, most games could not click, I do not know if it's a me problem or they were just bad games, but I decided to give little Gator game a try, and by God am I happy that I have done so. This little game has brought so much joy and whimsy into my life that I could, just for a short while, ignore the sick satanic ♥♥♥♥ that's happening in the outside world. It starts off pretty simple, you're a little Gator and you got a sword and shield, and it incrementally get more complex and more interesting as you go. No hand holding, no maps, no guidance. Just you, your resources, and your wit (or what's left of it) playing with other anthropomorphic children in the playground. My god, those poor little children...
