Same game, different case. It's literally the same game - still fun, still interesting, still short, still cute, but it is the same game as before. I like it, but this time I can't say that this is the same 9 quacks out of 10. This time it's only 8 quacks.

Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping is an investigation adventure game and the sequel to The Secret Salami. The Duck Detective is on vacation, but his trip takes a turn for the mysterious when strange things start to happen at the campground (glampground?). Much like in the previous game, to investigate the mystery you explore the campground, talk to suspects, and inspect objects to gather clue words. You plug these clue words in to statements, and finding the correct statements advances the story. There are two different difficulty modes, but even the more difficult of the two is very forgiving. In Sleuth mode, the game doesn't tell you which words you've filled in wrong, but still gives you an idea of how many words in your statement are incorrect. As long as you're following the story, it should be pretty easy to fill in the right statements once you have all the clues. The game was a little easier than the first game. There were fewer places where I ended up feeling like I needed to guess. I liked the story just as much as I did in the first game. The mystery was very engaging and had some twists and turns that I wasn't expecting. It was usually pretty easy to follow, although there was one spot where I wasn't quite understand what the game was trying to get at, and I ultimately had to make some guesses and let the game explain it to me. The characters are still really cute and endearing, and the dynamic between the Duck Detective and his roomate/assistant is pretty fun. Like in the first game, you have a choice of which character(s) to arrest at the end, and making the right choice left me a little conflicted. Overall, The Ghost of Glamping was an interesting mystery and just as funny and entertaining as its predecessor. The deductions are usually easy and logical, the mystery is intriguing, and the voice acting is really good. I'm eagerly looking forward to the next entry in the series. 8/10

Pros: Good game. Fun but chill puzzles. Good humor. Got what I expected. Cons: A little bit too short for the full price.

Another wholesome detect 'em up with the duck. This one seemed shorter than the first (despite clocking in the exact same runtime of 2.6 hours), though I found myself having to think more as the solutions were less straight-forward, and the game deliberately had large red herrings to make you think the opposite solutions were true. (Some people have left negative reviews for this reason, which I find bewlidering, because isn't that the point of a deduction game?!) I don't really have a lot to say over the first. This is just "more duck", which I guess I wanted. I'm not sure of the business decision of making this a separate game rather than a DLC. Maybe it's better exposure for indies? I bought it on release, simply because I liked the first, but I feel a tiny bit burned on the price:promise ratio. Being a separate game it meant the first 20 minutes were juts introductory fluff, though I guess it world built the living conditions of the crime fighting duo. Speaking of world building; It's heavily implied here and in the first game that all the characters were old enough to be a members of the anthropomorphic-alternative-reality Nazi Wermacht, and now live in a bifuricated anthropomorphic-alternative-reality Berlin that is split by a wall of some kind and really hates smuggling sausage, with the West side (which we don't see) being some kind of spy-based police state. Pretty dark stuff, especially for an all-female team based in Berlin.

Absolute cinema, just like the first Duck Detective game. You don't need to have played it to play this one (although I HIGHLY recommend it), but if you have played the first Duck Detective game, the same charm is here with a bit more production value. The duDUCKtions seem a little more logical this time around, although I'm not sure if that's because I already came into this knowing how the logic works from the first game or not. Nevertheless - a fantastic short story adventure you shouldn't skip!
