Frosthaven is a co-op, turn-based tactics and tactical rpg game developed by Snapshot Games Inc. and published by Arc Games.
Released on July 31st 2025 is available only on Windows in 10 languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish - Spain, Russian, Korean, Portuguese - Brazil, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.

Note to potential buyers of this game: 1. Please remember this game is in early access and there are many things to work on / improve 2. The game is based on a pretty heavy tabletop tactical game (it is not a light game) 3. The game is hard and has a steep learning curve 4. This game is very very good, but see point 3 above 5. If you are on the fence, I suggest you wait until early access is over

All the thumbs down with only a couple of hours are not understanding the scope of Frosthaven compared to the original Gloomhaven. As someone who have put over 600 hours into Gloomhaven, this already feels like a fresh and ambitious way to take the original to the next level. Frosthaven feels more like an RPG and an overall better game with all the different resources you have to loot. Not looting the piles that enemies drop when they die in Gloomhaven is not a big deal because it is just a couple of coins. Knowing any pile in Frosthaven can contain precious resources like wood, pelts, metal, or potion ingredients makes looting a much more important decision to make. Building and upgrading all the different structures in Frosthaven is satisfying because you are making a concentrated effort to increase options and opportunities to buy more things or go on certain quests. Gloomhaven you just see an arbitrary level number increase and all of a sudden you have more options in the shop. Been playing online with a friend the whole time, and been loving every minute of it. We have only crashed once but just booted it back up and had no issues. The things they have already included in this early access in comparison to the beta tests are already great improvements (fast fowarding animations) and its only going to get better. If you have never played either, Gloomhaven will give you tons of content to play and enjoy, and will be a slightly easier game to grasp although both can be a bit daunting at first. If you did play Gloomhaven, it is already well worth jumping into this game and giving it a spin!

With over 670 hours playing original Gloomhaven, i think I can claim to be a veteran on the subject ...not claiming i`m any good though. Of course Frosthaven is in the Early access stages and we all know there`s gonna be bugs, perfection takes along time to achieve... so Devs take your time and make it good, the fans will be here ! It Feels like The Core of Frost is based on the original Gloomhaven layout, took me a little while to get accustomed to the changes and the feel of the game , but you can tell its gonna grow into a monster of a game ! I would recommend the game if you know your way around the Gloomhaven original, but also its worth the time and effort to learn and is even better when you can play Multi player.

So far it seems great. Lots of QoL improvements. I especially like being able to click a model and open a window with all the important information. Even better is being able to click the cards and have the the main icons shown and listed how they work. In the same screen, hovering over the smaller icons shows you what they do as well. Thus far, this seems like everything I was expecting and hoping for in this next iteration of 'Haven' game. While I have not gotten far into it, I am liking what I see thus far. Remember too, that currently there is only about 1/3 of the content in the game. Now someone do a PC version of Isofarian Guard!!
