This is one of the best building games imho. Ever wanted to build a car with W16 engine? You can. A tiny tuk tuk with a single cylinder 2 stroke engine? You can. You can build differential, transfer case, double wishbone, solid axles, McPherson strut, multi link, watts link, sway bars and friction dampers - There is almost nothing you can't do in this game when it comes to mechanical contraptions. Let your imagination unfold! Also there is an upcoming update which will introduce logic to the game. Absolutely recommend 10/10

Peak engineering sandbox game. I honestly have no idea how this game is this optimized in an era where I expect 50fps average from games that don't even have proper physics. But, I'm not going to sugar coat it, this game is extremely off putting to new players with the complex controls and UI for example. However, you'll be surprised how intuitive and powerful the controls are once you give it a bit of time. Also, I actually learned things about how real cars work from googling how to do stuff in this game, so that's a bonus.

so ive played stormworks, scrap mechanic, trailmakers, plasma etc and then i came here! ive only had maybe 4 active hours of playtime, but in my experience, its a fun physics sandbox that will enable you to build plenty of mechanical machines. the dev is actively working and updating regularly, as well as offering helpful advice to the community. while a lot of people seem to be focused on vehicles etc, you can do more ofc! (maybe check out their youtube it looks fun) personally, this game covers mechanical technicality that games like storm works doesn't fully cover, where games like storm works are more focused on fluids and p[program, this is more physics focused imo. (tho memory may be foggy) just as with stormworks, there is a learning curve over the controls, its certainly not exactly intuitive at first, however using the tutorial and some perseverance/personal exploration you can figure it out for the most part! (plus it looks like you can always remap in settings) there's also a lot of helpful instructions pressing F1 or looking at steam discussions/guides! i did come across a couple of personal hurdles personally. firstly you are unable to resize a lot of things such as wheels, some building parts, etc. another was that programming is all LUA based, and thats not really my strong suit. games like trailmakers, stormworks and plasma all have their own versions of programming, block based even scrap mechanic too! this... relies heavily on scripting from what i can see. it also lacks a few sensor objects such as colour, distance, etc. but it does include various altitude, velocity and whatnot sensors. electronics are simple, but i think that those aren't what this game is focused on! if you want a sandbox to tinker around in, and perhaps are of the creative type this sandbox is pretty powerful! however its got its caveats too! the controls seem worth it to learn and not impossible to grasp. the tutorial did make my head hurt a little, but i found that omitting the words "translate tool" from it helped me grasp the fundamentals faster and tbh i started with tutorial only after seeing so many complaints, but honestly if i had just dove right in and messed around with creative i have a feeling i would have been able to teach myself the basics just as easily! that is to say, don't be put off. but the tutorial is a good place to start! im looking forward to using this to mess around in from time to time. the developer has mentioned adding more parts down the line and there appears there is a community here. (also don't be put off, you will need more than 2 hours to learn and build, but 3/4 hrs in you should be able to build something relatively simple.) as someone who has been obsessed with mechanical machines, and clockpunk stuffs this seems to be a good place to tinker in.

This game is great for those who love an engineering challenge. Personally, it's one of the most in-depth but comprehensive simulations of engineering I've played. It's UI is spot-on and easy to navigate, all the blocks are easy to figure out, and the physics are great.
