I waited a long time for this game, and I'm happy that it finally released. It's still in an early state, but it's absolutely playable. You can customize your character, make your gun look as cursed as you want, plan missions, and the game runs well "enought" on lower graphics settings (some lags are there). The enemies are basic, they could react faster at times. A better mix of smarter and dumber AI would make encounters more interesting. Can't wait to play it more when I got time again

I think it has a lot of potential. This could be one of the best games in VR in a few years. However, it's got a long ways to go and the problem I have is that it's already been in development for years already. So what is good about the experience is just the systems in place. The weapons look & feel good to use. Game already has several guns with many attachments. The ballistics are excellent. You can spend a lot of time just loading out your operator to the hilt. The visuals are just okay for me, though they give a 2017 PCVR look. The bad is almost everything else. The map design is very basic. Who thought that large open areas with little cover as you approach a compound was good game design? Enemies will shoot through walls and doors as you approach the wall / door with stunning accuracy or they will stand there when you open a door and look right at you and not react as you mow them down. Game is running on the Unreal Engine 5.7. On my RTX 5090, with graphics maxed out, I was getting anywhere from 84-90 fps. You have full smooth locomotion, along with smooth and snap turning. You can play seated and adjust height. However, the game lacks a real tutorial. You kind of just have to figure stuff out on your own. Everything is clunky. There's no story or anything like that. Just scenarios / gameplay modes. On the other hand, online multiplayer was full of lobbies, but usually private ones. Good luck if you want randoms. Rate 5.5/10. Just a passable start to Early Access. Lots of promise, but since they've been working on this since 2022, I'm kind of scared of how long EA will be and what they will actually be able to accomplish. Ok so while i am enjoying the shooting aspect of the game, there are some issues. The ground textures don't load in properly and flash bright white light at me when im playing which has given me a headache, the pistol reloads have been a little bit awkward to get used to, the mag just doesn't want to go into the gun at times. Im excited to see this game improve with time. [edit : Apparently my issues were fixed in the time after I left my review! which is awesome if true, I cannot confirm this as i broke my controller and won't be able to get a new one until Monday or Tuesday, Still awesome shooting, training map is awesome! }

This is my completely honest review for GERONIMO I like it, it's incredibly rough around the edges, Especially for at least 2 years of silent work, and 4 years of overall dev time I think it has the potential to be great, but it's not there just yet There's no support for Left handed holsters, which in 2026 is like the most basic thing there is no tutorial explaining medical or how to use slap charges As of my 2 hours of gameplay, There is NO MEDICAL, even though it was shown off in the most recent trailer I'm actively playing and watching this game get better I hope soon to rewrite this review in a better light At this time, it is recommended, but be wary.

Honestly, for the amount i have played, this game has some of the best gun feel and handling. Seems like the perfect VR CQB shooter imo.
