Ah yes, Call of campers: modern claymore My wife’s boyfriend calls it Camp of Duty: Window Warfare This call of duty really makes you FEEL like you're being called for a duty. Happy to report there are still people telling me they "made love to my mother" in the voice chat like the original modern warfare. Which she usually enjoys so why wouldn't they tell me? Maybe they are just looking for feedback. I'll ask her next time. All jokes aside, this game makes you really FEEL like a Camper. It’s the CoD that made me even consider CoD as a game to have in rotation again. To me it’s up there with the OG trilogy. The level of detail in weapon and character models together with the slightly slower movement speed made me fall in love with it. All I wanted was an approachable, immersive, and realistic looking modern shooter. I’d become disassociated with call of duty for the previous 10 years. I didn’t care how balanced or how competitive the game was, I literally just wanted an impressive mindless game to drool at. I wasn’t let down. Hot take but for me it was the peak of the franchise. Best graphics, best audio, excellent selection of skins that didn't go too far in to the weird realm, super fun game modes (gunfight, especially the tournaments) and an s+ tier campaign. It brought me back to the series after leaving when they started introducing the hero shooter elements. I wish they would have stayed the course instead of whatever mw3 and the new black ops games are doing. The campaign felt like zero dark thirty on steroids and I loved every second of it. I've played pretty much every COD campaign ever made and this one is right up there as one of the best. That Piccadilly Circus level is unreal! So intense! I will say there are some levels that kind of drag and are not the same quality. I really disliked having to play as a little kid (I want to role play as a spec ops soldier, not a 8 year old hiding from the bad guys.) But other than that I think this campaign is one of the best of all time. The one level where you raid a terrorist house and go room to room is so epic! This is probably the most realistic and gritty COD while still keeping clean movement mechanics and fast paced run n gun style COD is known for. The game does have its quirks, it's not perfect, but the base experience is still a lot of fun, and COD should've kept building on top of it. It could have become one of the best, if someone with more than 3 functional brain cells handled the balancing and created some better maps. Overall for me what makes it stand out is the fact that unlike vanguard mwII and bo6 this game has soul. Every bit of the campaign, multiplayer, spec ops, all were oozing with charm, love, and personality. Little things like map Easter eggs, the ambient sound effects, the soundtrack, the story, all of it was amazing and when comparing it to something like bo6 the difference is night and day. I could keep going on, and on, and on but all this to say, this game was incredible! I highly recommend it, specially on sale. 9/10

Awesome gameplay, good storyline and great visuals! Call of Duty Modern Warfare (2019) is a great entry point if you're new to this franchise. It has a good story campaign; cannot say about the multiplayer part because I'm not into that, but yeah, if you love FPS shooters and you're getting this game for the single player content, then you will enjoy the campaign mode. But there are 2 biggest drawbacks that this Call of Duty game has and even all the other Call of Duty games carries the same issue too which came after this one - i.e., as follows:- > First, you CANNOT play the campaign offline and without internet. So there's a lack of initiative from the Publsiher's side to preserve this game, atleast for now unless they decides to provide the offline patch! > Second, you CANNOT play on Linux due to their Ricochet Anti Cheat that has no role while playing the campaign! Also I don't support companies blocking Linux for silly reasons! So yeah, please keep those things in mind before buying any Call of Duty that launched after 2018, thank you! Oh, forgot to mention this - Call of Duty MW 2019 is greatly optimized and the game is able to utilize 99%-100% of the GPU properly!
This is the first time in my life I have ever bought a game twice. MW19 and OG Warzone were peak of Call of Duty. I still miss those days so much. After this game, the quality of the series honestly fell off a cliff. If you are looking for a actually good modern COD experience, do yourself a favor and go back to this one. Skip the sh*tty AI-generated slop that is Black Ops 7.
For 4.99 its a no brainer. The campaign is excellent and there are some nice supplementary PvE modes such as spec ops / survival. Despite this game being the root cause of many fundamental issues COD faces nowadays, there is some fun to be had in the somewhat poorly designed Multiplayer. Nowadays expect exploits since they never decoupled the old Warzone from this client (this is also why the game is almost 200gb, it has weapon and operator assets from 2 other games). You can be playing MP and run into people with exploited gear from Vanguard / Cold War era. Also, it doesn't have the new anti-cheat, so hacks are prevalent.
