this game is so packed full of content. theres so many more different items in this game compared to any other ghost hunting game ive played and there are so so many maps you'll never get bored with the content, not to mention an exorcism mechanic and "seals" you can spraypaint on the ground that have various cool effects on the match/ghost. and an automaitic rover that you can order to collect items from the tent for you and bring them. very fun and polished game all around especially if you like other ghost hunting games but feel like they are lacking content or mechanics.
If try to summarize pros and cons, it will look somehow like this: Pros Very good graphics. We are still talking about an indie game from the very small studio, but it looks really great! Especially in when comparing with, for example, Phasmophobia A lot of content. REALLY a lot of content, and I'm not talking only about main tasks, that you have also exile a ghost after identifying. There are many different rule changers with it's own tricks and strategies Lore. It exists and develops, what is very great for a horror game, which must not be about having some kind of lore (Phasmophobia again) Cons Bugs. Bugs, bugs. bugs. Especially after big updates in new content. Mainly it's about freezes and troubles with in-game voice chat Tutorial. The new tutorial imho isn't the best idea. Yeah, it allows you to dive deeply in game mechanics, but also it have a lot of information in itself and is a little bugged (when learning proofs, it may take a lot of time to find the light orb, because of I don't know what)
I've come from playing games such as Demonologists, Ghost Watchers, Ghost Exorcism INC, DEVOUR, and Phasmophobia. When I couldn't stand to play Phas anymore given the current state of the game, I began searching for something similar. TL;DR - still a bit buggy (weird for being in early access since 2022...) but doesn't ruin overall game play. Great change up from Phasmo/Ghost Watchers if you're feeling burnt out from those. There are some bugs (such as the tutorial/training) make it tricky to play but don't overly ruin it for me personally; usually solved by leaving the match and loading into a new one from the lobby. Rewards system is considerably more fair than Phasmo's because there's no tiers to the equipment, you can use money for other things besides equipment (perks, outfits, new visual layout for lobbies). The character customization is prefered over Phasmo's, plenty to choose from if you're a female; honestly, the male options are slim pickings and not as creative/fun as the female models. Actual game play is designed to take time and not just speed run for points; the adjustments to the ghosts based on difficulty level was interesting to see; shakes it up so when you're ready to advance from beginner, it feels like an actual upgrade in difficulty. Ghost behaviours could use a bit more work, there are some that have clear, distinct behaviours while some do not. But that feature does give it that "Phasmo" feel, something I felt Ghost Watchers couldn't quite nail down. Finding the Ghost's Fav room is rather tricky, which I do enjoy - it's not nearly as easy as Phasmo's way, which contributes to the slower pace of actually having to investigate rather than having the ability to speed run. The various additional game modes shake up the play style, so you don't get stuck in a Ghost Watchers/Phasmo loop of grinding out the same situations for points and burning out. I'm a bit shocked to see that it's still in Early Access, 4 years later, I'm a bit tired of seeing this trend with games; Oddly enough though, this does feel pretty close to a full game so I'm not overly upset about it still being in EA in 2026. I just hope that the devs keep working on it, and it doesn't fall victim to what's been going on with Phasmophobia.
Fantastic ghost hunting game. Good spooks and a lot of fun with friends. Better than Phasmophobia in many regards, just hasn't gained as much traction - I like how you can actually collect correct evidence outside of the ghost's favorite room as opposed to ONLY getting evidence from the favorite room. Adds to the immersion. I love having to exorcise the ghost after figuring out the type too.
