I really enjoyed this game. The enviroment was really cool and the storyline was creepy. Great entry level horror game for sure. The suspense is so well done! This would be great for newbie horror gamers that want to test out the genre. More experianced horror gamer's may not be keen, I don't think.

Literally 10/10 storyline. 7/10 gameplay. But holy heck... Best storyline of a game I've ever played, tbh.

I'm not a fan of puzzle games where I have to wait for an extended period, literally stare at things, and retrace my steps over and over. But despite being morally ambiguous; at the end, and I mean by the absolute end- I kinda stopped disliking this game. It vaguely annoyed me until that point. The pay off is.. well.. Okay Erebus, you won me over. I'm late to the party but okay cool lol

God's Basement is a psychological horror walking simulator game. The game takes place primarily in two environments, an office area and a house. The game takes approximately 2 hours to complete and obtain all the achievements. + The game is genuinely creepy throughout. There is an unnerving atmosphere that doesn't let up. + The story is well above average. It starts off slow, gets better, and the ending wraps up in a very interesting way. + A couple of jump scares caught me. +/- There is nothing really special about the music or sound effects in this game. The creepy sound effects are about average and the music is minimal. +/- Visually the game is designed about average. Passable. However, there is no "Artistic" feel to the game. All the environments are designed in a very basic way using basic assets. Everything is a bit bland, no real art direction. - The main narrator called "The Operator" can ramble on and talk too much. - Most puzzles are super vague, with no direction. Many times you will be stuck in a room and not know what to do. For example, stuck in a hallway, you will need to zoom in and stare at a picture frame for 5 seconds. The game will give you no direction to do this. Luckily there is a hint system in the option menu to help guide you. - The game is priced a bit high for what you get. $20 Canadian with Tax. I had some fun with the game. The story, especially the ending, save the game from receiving a negative score. Overall: 6/10

Good horror. Several jump scares that had me gasp, especially when playing in the dark and with headphones on. Loved the story and the artwork. Few glitches regarding accuracy of mouse in order to trigger an event, but overall excellent. Looking forward to more from this developer!
