It's a great game. I doubt the developers will see this but there are some minor things that could make it a masterpiece imo. I realize it says basically to rely on modders in the description but customization is sorely lacking in this game. Changing paint schemes, making your own team, picking your own logo, customizing the $ amount you start with in career. I feel like these things should be available without mods. Some sort of focused driver progression would be awesome too. Who wants to hire the best free agent driver money can buy every season??? This is speaking from a position of picking a bottom tear team and building up, which is I think the only fun way to play the game. I don't know why anybody would want to pick the team who selects first and has the most money starting out. Lastly, I hate when racing games don't include in-season / career driver stats. Wins, top 5s, top 10s, DNFs, laps led, etc. I know it's F1 but I feel like this is a cardinal sin when it comes to racing games. It's such a simple thing but is so crucial to the game for me for repetitive play. Unless I'm mistaken, all these things are sadly missing from this game. The foundation is awesome. It could be better.
It is a very simple F1 manager and it's fun playing it. Unfortunately, it quickly becomes repetetive and the enjoyment decreases over time. After roughly 30h I completed my first seasons from 1970 to 1979. Not sure if I'll play another career. Everybody can decide if cost vs. playtime is justified. I can say I enjoyed the career and would buy the game on sale again. But don't expect a very complex game... ;)
Really fun game if you are addicted to see numbers go higher and win but still have a challenge. Very easy to min-max but enjoyable enough to keep you hooked for a while. Mod support seems to be cosmetic only which is a shame, Gameplay mods would give hundreds of hours of extra content.
Fun game that is difficult to "put down". there are a bunch of great reviews so I just wanted to comment on the negative reviews. The "RNG" guy. It isn't a random number generator any more than any other game. I am halfway through my first season. I do not have the best driver nor do I have the best car. (tough to be Ferrari er... 'Ezzolini') I have both of my drivers have finished all of their races and my team is in 3rd place behind Ferrari and what I assume is McClaren. If you want to manage a race team, and you don't want to spend 30 minutes in between races this might be the game for you. There was one fatality on the track. Not my driver, but there is a mod to have zero fatalities. Have to remember that this is from a time when people died on the track. A lot of them actually. Fun game.
