Solutions to Issues with Hitting the Ball If you can't hit the ball and the frame rate is too high, you can try the following steps: 1. Open your graphics card control panel → Manage 3D Settings → Program Settings 2. Select Golfing Over It (if you can't find it, manually add the game's .exe file) 3. Locate Max Frame Rate → Set it to a suitable value (e.g., 60 or 120)

Picked this up after loving Getting Over It, and honestly it scratches a similar itch while being its own frustrating beast. The ball juggling mechanic is genuinely clever once it clicks — being able to redirect mid-air saves you from so many disasters. That said, the moment your ball touches any surface you're just a spectator watching your progress evaporate, which never stopped feeling unfair no matter how long I played. Alva's commentary is decent enough encouragement but lacks the philosophical punch that made Bennett Foddy's narration so memorable. For the price, it's worth a try if you're a masochist who's already conquered the original, but go in knowing it leans more on frustration than the satisfying skill mastery that made Getting Over It special.

This game is, in my opinion, the most fun Foddian game. It takes the simplicity of Getting Over It and mixes it with golf, which was really enjoyable. The 100% completion was also fun since it relies on challenges instead of just beating the game fifty times like Getting Over It. The challenges include beating the game in under 15 minutes and also beating it in under 300 hits, which was a bit challenging, but that’s where the fun was. Game: 7/10 100%: 8/10

Alva Majo really spoke of not having enough control over your character in Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy then proceeded to make a game where you are resigned to watching helplessly as you tumble from the summit all the way to the beginning of the game if you touch the wall
