---{ Graphics }--- ☐ You forget what reality is ☐ Beautiful ☐ Good β˜‘ Decent ☐ Bad ☐ Donβ€˜t look too long at it ☐ MS-DOS Its a vr game so don't expect anything crazy. Blade and Sorcery has definitely better graphics but given that the maps are larger here its acceptable. The weapons look great. The magic effects look alright. I think, however, that the levels could be designed a bit better with better object placement and more lighting in some areas. I would also have loved to be able to tune graphic settings such as LOD distance, brightness, maybe higher resolution textures so I could push my GPU to its limit. ---{ Gameplay }--- ☐ Very good β˜‘ Good ☐ It's just gameplay ☐ Mehh ☐ Watch paint dry instead ☐ Just don't I think the combat system is great. I mainly used close range weapons, especially two handed swords and I loved it. I like being able to block most attacks and I also find the dodge mechanic awesome. I also love that you have to find the weak points of some enemies to take them down quicker. I honestly had low expectations after palying a lot of Blade and Sorcery but the combat in this game is very unique and I think the devs absolutely nailed it. ---{ Audio }--- ☐ Eargasm ☐ Very good ☐ Good ☐ Not too bad β˜‘ Bad ☐ I'm now deaf The audio requires a lot of bug fixing. This was the worst part about this game for me. The music is alright and the boss themes are quite good. The BIG issue I had is that the lack of sounds really broke the immersion. Footsteps dont work on half the surfaces. Sometimes enemy attacks don't create any sound. I would have loved an unsheathing sound for the player too. Enemies have it so why not give it to the player? The music slider doesn't work in the last area. Generally this game needs more consistent and working sounds. ---{ Audience }--- β˜‘ Kids β˜‘ Teens β˜‘ Adults ☐ Grandma ---{ PC Requirements }--- ☐ Check if you can run paint ☐ Potato ☐ Decent β˜‘ Fast ☐ Rich boi ☐ Ask NASA if they have a spare computer I have a ryzen 7 5800x3d and a rx 7700xt. I noticed some heavy frame drops at specific locations, expecially when loading the area such as the monastery, but they usually go away after a few seconds. As already mentioned in the graphics section, I think my pc could have handled better graphics if I was given the options. ---{ Game Size }--- ☐ Floppy Disk β˜‘ Old Fashioned ☐ Workable ☐ Big ☐ Will eat 15% of your 1TB hard drive ☐ You will want an entire hard drive to hold it ☐ You will need to invest in a black hole to hold all the data around 20 GBs ---{ Difficulty }--- ☐ Just press 'W' ☐ Easy ☐ Easy to learn / Hard to master ☐ Significant brain usage β˜‘ Difficult ☐ Dark Souls Some bosses were frustrating and the tankier bosses can take a bit more time but I enjoyed every boss. I mainly used a two-handed sword and I think the bosses were very fair, and well designed. ---{ Grind }--- ☐ Nothing to grind ☐ Only if u care about leaderboards/ranks β˜‘ Isn't necessary to progress ☐ Average grind level ☐ Too much grind ☐ You'll need a second life for grinding Farming "matter" (the equivalent of souls or runes) is exhausting and not really necessary. I only had to upgrade my vitality and strength so there was no need to farm. ---{ Story }--- ☐ No Story β˜‘ Some lore ☐ Average ☐ Good ☐ Lovely ☐ It'll replace your life The story wasn't really interesting. Its a souls like after all but without YouTube channels to explain the lore so I had no idea what was going on. ---{ Game Time }--- ☐ Long enough for a cup of coffee ☐ Short β˜‘ Average ☐ Long ☐ To infinity and beyond It took me 16 hours to complete the game. I wish there was more :( ---{ Price }--- ☐ It's free! β˜‘ Worth the price ☐ If it's on sale ☐ If u have some spare money left ☐ Not recommended ☐ You could also just burn your money I honestly would have paid more ---{ Bugs }--- ☐ Never heard of ☐ Minor bugs β˜‘ Can get annoying ☐ ARK: Survival Evolved ☐ The game itself is a big terrarium for bugs Just like every VR game there are bugs such as items disappearing under the ground, blocking not seeming to work sometimes (though most of the time its really just a skill issue), enemies getting flinged into the air when grabbed and stabbed, enemies not spawning when walking through an area in a specific direction and audio bugs. I haven't encountered any bugs that caused me to die during a boss fight though. ---{ ? / 10 }--- ☐ 1 ☐ 2 ☐ 3 ☐ 4 ☐ 5 ☐ 6 ☐ 7 β˜‘ 8 ☐ 9 ☐ 10 One of the best VR games I have played. I hope the devs put more work into the immersion such as audio, graphics and level design should they release a sequel or DLC. ---{ Author }--- β˜‘ https://vojtastruhar.github.io/steam-review-template

Still in the first chapter, but I'm having a good time so far. Parrying and attacking feel good, and the spellblade fantasy is definitely there if you're looking for it. Good job devs. I hope you do more with this. Intro monologue is pretty darn bad though. I think that's my biggest complaint so far...so great job overall.

TL;DR The lack of in depth reviews for this game is astonishing to me. If you've been waiting for something amounting to "soulslike" vr, this is it. I've never really felt like I was playing dark souls in vr, except in this game. If your on the fence, just get it, set a timer for an hour and a half and refund it if it's not your flavor. I don't think you'll regret it. But heres as fleshy a review as I can make yet, because this game requires the souls' communities attention. This game is the only true souls like for vr so far. Proper bonfires. They aren't bonfires but they work like them mechanically, acting as the fast travel station and rest point. As expected whenever you rest all the enemies in the area will respawn, and your free to grind for matter with a refilled health bar and health/mana potions. Matter is souls. The skill tree is a little different then dark souls levels, but level progression is the same; Kill enemies, get matter, die, lose matter, retrieve matter or die trying and lose it permanently. Just what we like lol. And when you collect enough delicious matter to level-up, you return to the hub area [I don't remember what the name of this place is in this game, but it's a firelink shrine equivalent housing the alchemist, blacksmith and level up lady among others] and do a vr interaction with this games firekeeper equivalent to open the level up menu and spend that matter on perk points. Sidenote, naturally, matter also acts as money in this game. Bosses. I've only fought one so far, but it was incredibly satisfying. It required incredibly active parrying, and was all in all just a difficult boss. I don't find these often in VR. A satisfying parry system, which offers solid feedback for a successful parry without being too advantageous, or sacrificing your freedom of movement. It's pretty simple to parry a single enemy, but it gets a little trickier, but still entirely possible, when there's a crowd. That combined with the fact that each enemy type seems to have their own move set keeps parrying feeling fresh and a core mechanic of the game. Most reviews are from early access I think, I saw somebody talking about hit boxes being inaccurate, but from what I can tell, as far as like stabbing somebody in the face through a small space in their helmet and things like that, this is best in class, compared to things like hellsplit or b&s. Physics, like grabbing enemies is there, but the enemies aren't literal ragdolls like other games. I guess where other games tend to feel like a physics simulator over a combat experience, this game flips that. Physics are there but it's combat first and the physics seem to reflect that somehow, without being overscripted or removed all together. You need to find weak points in armor when attacking as well, as smacking somebody in their metal plate is about as effective as you'd expect in real life. In conclusion, buy it. Don't like it? Refund. But please, whatever you do, leave a review. This game needs and deserves it.

Incredible game now that it is finished. Gritty combat, dark and gritty environments. It's truly a VR souls like. I'm entirely satisfied.
