Don't actually have this on steam - just got it linked in Nexus to build up hours - Great game if you enjoy MMO's with a difference, no linear path, no gear treadmill - get yourself some good gear and your good for all content. your main challenge - fashion wars!!

I have played every mmo you can name in the past 15 years. I spent quite bit of a time in FFXIV and WoW mainly. If you never tried or tried GW2 in the past, it will never disappoint you when you hop on. The monetization is one of the best. The event, quest, dungeon and raid system is one of the best. There is a reason this game still has plenty of players since 2012. The cosmetics and level designs are beautiful. Lastly, for brand new player, it will be hard to understand certain stuff but the community is so nice, you will always find someone to help you or explain you about the mechanics and economics inside the game. If you are looking for a casual chill MMO with a nice community, its for sure one of the best.

Adult life is all about having obligations, occupations and whatsoever!! I used to play other mmorpg's religiously and unfortunately i could not anymore because to keep up with the top dogs it was like a job, the weekly's and daily's, the weekly raids chests where mandatory to stay up to date with the crowd, missing a week meant losing so much status... Guild wars 2 on the other hand is way more casual but still has that grindy mmorpg feel!!! you can stop playing for a week without months of catching up,, all that without missing any content to go for!! the best mmorpg in my eyes when life gets overwhelming. thank you guild wars, i thaught i was done for with mmorpg's but honestly i still need my fix once in a while. This is a game for hardcore gamers, casual gamers, moms and dads, etc...storyline is awesome for a mmorpg "trust me ive played most of them but this feels good while not needing to be lifeconsumming !!! awesome game

Still waiting for Canach to blow the damn door open. While I wait, it's an MMO designed so the bit where you're walking around the world and doing random things is actually fun, rather than relying on dungeons/raids to be the main objective. You progress by unlocking fun new things to do with new systems, rather than endlessly gaining incremental dps percentage increases. Instanced PvE is a bit weaker than other MMOs, PvP is generally better. The map design is in a league of it's own, designed for the joy of exploration rather than trying to show off the graphics/overwhelming scale. Story is better than average and well-paced, preferring to keep you in the action rather than bog you down with reams of fluffy lore. Combat system feels good to use without being a crazy button-soup (Elementalist not included) or an epilepsy inducing light show. Each class has a strong sense of identity and the elite specs subdivide it further - making the 9 classes actually feel like ~36 classes. For a free to play subscription-less MMO, it does a lot right - far more than others.

Best MMO I have ever played. There are hundreds of different ways to play/enjoy the game and they all give you rewards, and you never feel pressured to do content that you don't enjoy / don't feel like doing. The monetization is very fair, and there is no monthly subscription. There is no power creep forcing you to stay up to date or invalidating previous things you've done. all expansions are still playable, worth playing, and quite enjoyable. You will find plenty of people doing all game tasks whether it is the oldest thing in game or newest. I really really like this game, and if you like MMOs it is worth trying.
