April 2025
If you're queer or more specifically transfem, and a bit of a freak, this game could change your life. Continued proof that visual novels are amazing ways to tell stories, just as any other game or media. I am irrevocably changed due to this game. The music by Alec Lambert dynamically timed with the story is so perfect. It may not be such a groundbreaking story for everyone, and it is caked in layers upon layers of metaphor and definitions that are different from our own, and yet it still is straightforward and plenty easy to understand it all without much effort. 11 hrs to 100% the achievements and maybe a little more to guarantee seeing every text box and line and yet this feels deeper and more immersive than many 40+ hour games can be. If its not something that changes you, it still can be a very good story to experience. Its only downsides are the confusion it may cause from only playing as one character and not getting all the endings. While the mechanics may look similar, and there may be overlap in the characters interactions, there is still wildly different backgrounds for all 3 characters and it is well enhanced by playing all parts. As long as you change up your choices, it very much should not feel tedious and repetitive to play through each character and ending. Repeating content doesn't feel like a necessity of just seeing different dialogue for the sake of completion, but instead can give a deeper perspective on who the characters are and their backgrounds and relationships with each other.

Starting with the bad things - I feel like the text could use some proofreading, there were some sentences that didn't make sense grammatically or logically, and many were hard to read because of lack of interpunction. There were also some inconsistencies. That said, the story was actually interesting and I liked the aesthetics, so I enjoyed the game. If you're wondering which character you should play first, I feel like Luna-Terra's storyline has messages that explain the lore in most straightforward way. TLDR: God I wish girls were real

it's about being gay and making out with the two worst people you know that are also your girlfriends but you're in giant mechs cuz mechs are awesome and cool and you can have incredibly intense homoerotic fights and i think that's the highest praise i can possibly give this game it reminded me how much i love other people and for that i think it's pretty special also it's very purple prose-y and chock full of subtext. it's awesome and i think you should play it if you're gay and transgender and love mecha and subtext and women and hate the government

I have genuinely never encountered anything else that so well translates the experience of being a terrified transbian living in the soon-to-be-fascist united states. cannot recommend enough to anyone who loves women and hates the government
