Probably the best kinetic novel I've ever played. I like how the story unfolds and you find yourself feeling the same feelings as the main character as you find out more about TaoHua and Constance ect. Real gut punch at the end. This game really is blackberry honey, bittersweet but far more sweet than bitter.

(spoilers, rambling) i think its a great story especially when focusing on the two main characters. their dynamic is sooo adorable from the getgo and it was so much fun seeing how they came to grow closer to each other. the art on the cgs were so pretty and the cg scenes were all so well written too. the h scene was honestly one of my favorite cgs for how personal and realistic it felt and how fitting it was very given the emotional rollercoaster that transpired beforehand. the side characters were really nice and all had really fun personalities. the other maids (besides isobel and pauline ofc) were such sweethearts and the other side characters brought a lot more depth and continuation to the story too. despite it being one of ebi-himes longer vns i still felt like there were missing details and characters that could have been expanded upon. while pauline and isobel were just mean spirited people and there to add conflict or salt to wound in the plot, I felt that lady constance was an entirely different story. She was definitely mean and a spoiled brat given her background, but in her moments of weakness she began to unintentionally reveal a layer of sadness and insecurity that plagued her and really put into perspective why she acted the way she did. I found these scenes to be really interesting because it showed that while wealth of that level is a huge privilege, it can only provide external happiness and the strong emphasis on legacy and living up to high expectations that come with wealth tend to not only heavily isolate children born into this but disregard their individuality and passions. with this and how much neglect/apathy she experienced from her parents alongside growing up being taught that she was better than everyone else, she pushed everyone who tried to form a connection with her away out of fear of people doing so only for the sake of profit and that the gap in status between her and everyone else meant that no one could truly understand her problems. but despite all this constance was watered down to being an antagonist just for the sake of it on the last interaction. i dont think this aspect was necessarily crucial to the story but i felt left hanging when one of the few characters that was explored in depth and had lots of potential had no actual development to pay off to what seemed like a build up to it. overall i loved this story sososo much, i was so immersed in the story that it made me really sad to leave it after going through all the many highs and lows of the protagonist (the ending was so perfect and worth it all). its definitely flawed but the good marginally outweighs the bad and i think anyone who likes yuri or queer love stories in general will find a lot to love in this vn

This is essentially victorian gooner yuri with an entertaining story as bonus lol. The setting and its immersion are well-maintained throughout the story with a solid consistency. I adore the art, it comes with a variety, plus the lovely style has a unique soft feel to it! The music is excellent too and succeeding at stabilizing the ambience. Writing-wise, the characterizations quite impressed me, I liked the personality-depth, for the main cast at least (though I wish some side-characters got explored more, as there was huge potential). While plot-wise there's nothing particular noteworty, it was still interesting to follow, additionally it includes strong and dynamic scenes as well. Altogether this was a very pleasant experience, not quite outstanding but captivating and enjoyable in its own special way!

I tried recommending this game to a friend by explaining it was all about Classism, Victorian values, Music, overcoming self-doubt etc. Their response was simply ‘Its about Lesbians isn’t it’ (Including a screenshot from the Steam page with the first line of the description ‘A lesbian love story’). While I admitted it did include lesbians there is a bit more to it than that. That’s like describing the plot of Titanic by saying ‘There’s an iceberg in it’.

This is such a beautiful and heart touching romantic tale. Once i opened the game I was immediately invested, it is a very well written Visual Novel with a perfect amount of spicy scenes, not making it take over the plot and adding another layer to the two ladies love!
