As mentioned, the game has its similarities to Sudoku, except it uses hexagonal tiling and uses line indicators for continuous lines of cells. The actual gameplay is fun. If you're not familiar with puzzles such as these, you might take a bit longer to finish the harder levels. This game is not completely difficult, but it does require some thinking. The way the game introduces new mechanics allows for a nice difficulty curve, as you apply your new knowledge of the new mechanics to figure out patterns you can use to clear the harder levels, such as linked cells and regions forced to be equal to one another (there are a few more mechanics). The visuals and sound effects were fitting and never felt intrusive. All of the symbols were quite intuitive to understand. One annoying thing about the game is the idea behind "Hard Mode" as opposed to its "Easy Mode" in the menu. To deactivate the sensor telling you that the sums of the cells in their rows add up and call it only "hard" feels less hard and more tedious to me. I realized this halfway in my playthrough and quickly finished the levels I had already finished on Easy Mode. Overall, the game was decent and its gameplay did live up to my expectations of the game.

Enjoyable sudoku in hexagons game. Graphics and music are cute. I would recommend Hexcells Infinite over Hexologic in this genre. But I'd only get either on sale. If you're into this style of puzzle it's a decent purchase.

I seem to be a real sucker for all kinds of hex-something games on Steam and why not these are some of the best brain teaser games there are out there. Hallmarks of these games is that they are challenging just enough to make you go forward and not frustrate too much as i am by no mean a puzzle game sleuth that completes ten of these before lunch. This particular hex game places somewhere on the mid, lower-mid when it comes to difficulty. There is a lot of stuff to complete here and for the price even if full price you get a lot of stuff to ponder on so price:value ratio is quite decent. Not even close to the end after 3 hours (Some 70/90+ levels done) but it's been a great ride this far and difficulty goes up slowly as new mechanics are unveiled.

~6 hours of great puzzles. If you're buying this game that's like 95% what you should care about. If I had to make 1 criticism it's that the settings are mobile phone level, but like... It's a puzzle game dude and the puzzles are good.
