I have yet to finish this game since my interest in it tends to wane around halfway up the train, but it's well made and good fun.

s'alright. if youve read homestuck then you should definitely play it. not that you should drop everything and buy the game immediately, but you should get around to it eventually. if you havent then maybe wait for a sale or something. if you are currently in the middle of reading homestuck i would advise that you finish act 5 act 1 before you start, but it doesn't really matter. youll just understand a few more references. the soundtrack is absolutely amazing, and to be quite honest, i would recommend hiveswap act 2 solely for the soundtrack if nothing else. one last (very important) note: do not underestimate the hint function. in the final boss thing and the jadeblood/tealblood car trial, the hints practically just give you the answers (which is amazing bc those sections kinda suck puzzlewise (but not plotwise imo with the ace attorney minigame its pretty fun as a story)). note that i got this on a deep discount so i cannot say anything about whether its worth your money full price.

Long overdue on this review but its still pretty good. A bit different from act 1 but in a cool way tbh. The launch version of this game was a bit rough but that's a nonissue at this point.

Great sequel! The art, music and writing is just as great as in the first game, and we get some real character development for Joey and Xefros. There are some "guide dangit" moments, where the puzzles feel a bit contrived, like when getting tickets on the train station has much more of an effect on a later part of the game than you'd have thought. The game is really generous with hints though, and I'd imagine most people are there for the story anyway. The second act becomes slightly more confusing for a non-Homestuck fan, but that also helps put you in Joey's shoes. I'm jealous of you if you got to experience this game with no prior knowledge of the setting.
