From a lover of The Sims build mode, this is sooo much better!! You can actually place anything *anywhere*, you're not as restricted as in The Sims. I do wish there were some more options for certain furniture items, but in terms of customizability of floorplans, it's excellent! The option to import floorplans from images is a game changer as well :D

I don't usually write reviews, but in this case I felt I had to. This game got a lot of bad reviews recently, because it didn't start for a while. I experienced this as well, but this issue is now fixed. I hope this is helpful for anyone interested in getting it, but skeptical because of the recent negative reviews. It's a really neat tool for planning out your dream home, or just for playing around.

For few days now, Home Design 3d is not starting up! I tried in both my desktop and laptop with different steam accounts... Is anyone else experiencing this? Solution?

The creativity to build, hopefully it gets better over time, simpler with it's interface and tools. Because it isn't just a game... it is a design tool, that I believe can be even better and much easier than CAD if implemented properly.
