A visually interesting take on the idle/incremental game. Instead of very long-running continuous game improvement, Idle Colony is more about the individual "sessions" with different playstyle tactics to achieve the various goals of the game. Once reaching all the permanent upgrades, you basically get to chose various improvement options at will to try out various styles of gameplay for the each session. Instead of a single "best" path forward like many idler games, this one actually leaves you many options to accomplish the multiple achievements and completion of the game. My total playtime for full achievements could have definitely been improved drastically. For one example, I decided to push through one play session to go for the 'max fruit', and my build was not very well scaling beyond a certain point. Thus it took over 16 hours in one game session just to reach that point. Meanwhile, an alternate build on a later session saw me reaching the max fruit in roughly 2 hours... so definitely many alternate paths to take in how your colony is built on each session. I enjoyed it. --- 65.6hr / 100%

Idle Colony is exactly how it sounds, a game where you can sit back, relax, and watch as your little workers gather the fruits of trees. Quick Pros ✔ Satisfying progression system ✔ Relaxing game play ✔ Runs well on lower-end PCs ✔ Strong visual style Quick Cons ✘ Repetitive game play loop ✘ Mechanics become stale over time Initial Thoughts: -"I like my little dudes. They are so smol." -"Oooo bashing the moles is so satisfying." -"I can sacrifice them.... ooooooooooooo this is great." Beginner Player Friendly? I would say this game is beginner player friendly. The controls are very simple and this game is a point and click style game. There is also a tutorial that helps explain the basics of the game. Once you get through that tutorial there isn't much that is hard to understand. Game Play: The goal of this game is simple, you are farming fruits with your small colony. Cook these fruits to make money so you can upgrade, sacrifice and upgrade some more to make even more money. Graphics: The graphics are super simple and friendly on the eyes. I would say this game would be able to run on a lower end computer with no issues. Community: I have not interacted much with the community themselves, the way I found this game is by Gray Still Plays playing it on their YouTube channel. I have seen quite a few guides on how to play, and everyone seems super open to answering questions if need be. How long can you play? In this game its easy to play for hours with no stopping. I have already spent 4 hours in the game and have yet to complete it. My Opinion: In my opinion, if you just want something where you can turn your brain off and not think while maybe watching a bit of YouTube you may want to try out this game. I really enjoy playing this while watching mindless body-cam footage.
