i dont think anyone will read this but let me tell you my two cents anyways. i really enjoyed playing this game, its fun and addictive with great sound design and gameplay. 100% a game i would say is incredibly fun if someone ever asked. the only issue i feel that needs to be fixed is that there is not enough stuff. after completing the game i kind of wished there was more to it. the ending was really underestimating too. but my point is that i really hope that more content is added soon and that i will be able to enjoy the experience again eventually
Nodebuster is what I like to call an “active-incremental-game”. The base mechanics works like an incremental game, gaining resources, updating a skill tree, and passively increasing numbers, to help with progression. Like more health, increased damage, less damage taken, upgraded attacks as examples. But unlike an idle game, you just don’t upgrade the statistics, but actively gather resources and destroy objects to gain them, it certainly isn’t a revolution, but the game is very good at what it wants to be. It is good fun for a couple hours, and perfect when you just want to relax for a while and watch something on the side or listen to some good music.
I seriously love this game. 10/10 incremental. The price is beyond worth it, the graphics are visually pleasing, and I really liked the music and sounds. If you don’t like the CRT effects in the pics, don’t worry. You can turn that off. My ONLY gripe is playing it on Steam Deck is a little awkward. I just don’t care for using the trackpad. It isn’t the game’s fault, I just don’t like it.
