IDUN - Frontline Survival for me 10/10 for a Tower Defense Game I like it. It has full tower/hero mobility. Very fast pace with some rogue lite stuff too. If you liked the creeper world games give this one a shot. +Enemies die and leave flowing liquid blood/flesh that can be used for production. Effects enemy pathing. +Terrain damage and terraforming that effects the flowing liquid. +Everything is very responsive. +The orbital abilities are more interactive than normal. Some of them you actively aim as weapons. +The heroes perform like stick shooter heroes. There is also game mode that plays like a stick shooter +Great performance. Should work on most devices. +Several game modes that all work fine for the core game play. +Control scheme compliments commonly used actions in game play very well. +The extremely fast pace and design makes failure less discouraging. Taking the rogue lite aspects into account there is no reason to be frustrated with a bad outcome. Quickly try different difficulties or go to a different level and come back again with better tech/loadout. -Sound is just weak all around. VA is AI generated. I would turn it down or mute it entirely. The combat sounds are fine, but they are so quiet. Give em some punch. -The visual style could use something to enhance depth. It looks very flat despite being 3d. -2D art is a little rough for my taste. -The story was entirely uninteresting to me. It takes up a very small portion of the game so it doesn't bother me. -The menus are odd as well. The HUD is fine in game. -Camera. A fully orbiting camera would be nice. The game is a rarity overall. The game play is great out of the box, but the visuals/sound not so much.

Overall, solid tower defense game, give it a 7.5/10. Performance is great, no slowdown even in the 2hr refinery run for achievement when there's tens of thousands on the sceen. Good aesthetic and art, solid music. Formulaic but serviceable story (even if the voice acting is pretty bad), the main story missions are decent set pieces. Only real knock is there's just not enough variety in the non-story missions. There's only 5 basic types nuke/refiner/extract/drill/mech, and the grind starts the wear towards the end with the same missions over and over. They try to pretent 'Raids' are different, but that's just a bunch of the formulaic missions linked together. Upgrades are serviceable pretty boring overall, unfortunately there's very little reason to use half the towers, just focus on a small handful. Overall solid tower defense game.

Great game, I recommend it. You may find yourself thinking it's too easy if you go do side battles and build up your strength ahead of things. But that won't last. After the "last mission" of the story campaign, you unlock "extreme" difficulty for all battles. It's quite challenging. I'm glad I bought this.

I haven't left a lot of reviews, but I did want to put one for this. This game is all about defending a point, building your defenses. This feels like someone liked some specific missions in Starcraft 2 and decided to make a game out of it (not that I'm saying that's a bad thing) but wanted to mix it with the "survival" or "bullet Heaven"/"Vampire Survivor-like" games. Place your turrets, build your walls, and go. I like the maps, the turrets, the look, and just the game in general; I think it's fun especially for just $15 My biggest gripes (as of this review) is: 1) the fact that the missions for the most part are short, like less than 5 minutes, and don't have a way of continuing endlessly on that same run -- the way the enemies ramp up may only add 5 more minutes, but it just feels like I'm getting into stride and the mission is complete. Yes there is one mission type that is actually endless but not a lot and its harder than the others. 2)You have a choice of "loadout" - starting turrets, "Heroes", and special ability type thing - for a mission (and there are dozens) but you can't see a layout for the map. This is noteworthy because your loadout cards are consumable and you might decide a blade turret seems fun but you have a big open field, or you chose a Sniper tower because you haven't used many of them but your map isn't well suited for that. You can see the enemies and a general "omni-direction" indicator, of "large/small map", which can be helpful but for example I've had a "large map" that was supposed to have tougher monsters so I chose the Sniper, but the layout/positioning wasn't good for that kind of tower, so I usually just start with the "default"/non-specialized stuff and hope I pull a card for towers that are better for the map instead. Just seems like wasted work when just a little map preview would make things a lot more dynamic.

Game is not perfect but it's FUN, there are for sure some QOL things necessary, although some things are "harder" to understand, with average IQ you'll get the hang of it pretty fast within the first hour or two. The 99% of the bad reviews spent 0,1h in game, which screams skill issue = bad game -> (we all know that one friend that skips tutorial, than gets mad for not knowing how some stuff works.) All things considered, 8/10 fun experience.
