Definitely not my favourite format of IOOD games and I'm glad they stuck to the traditional format after this but it was still fun to play and gather achievements. Recommended if nothing but to track the evolution of this awesome game series.

In this third part, we don't look for anomalies through cameras anymore. Instead, we have to find them by taking pictures of them with our phone to fix them. This makes the game noticeably harder because of the 3D aspect. Interestingly, for me, this one is actually the least scary of the three, even though I thought it would be the scariest

I respect that the developer tried something new, but I'm glad they didn't carry it forward. It's a different feel to be a character moving around the map. It's less unsettling and more directly scary, which isn't what made the rest of the games in this series great. The context of sitting behind a camera, theoretically out of danger, heightens the uneasiness of the atmosphere while allowing for unique scares. That's the identity, and the changes lost it. Even so, this is worth playing as much as any of them, because it is a fantastic series. This might be a weak entry, but I would recommend maintaining the continuity.
