Roughly 2 hours of time and some change to complete the game, free DLC and all 8 achievements. On sale for about $5, it's a fun little experience that's done well for their FIRST game. The negative reviews are seemingly forced and nitpick on things the dev's can improve on in their future games. Creating a 10/10 on your first game is unrealistic af. That being said, spooky experience worth time and money? Yes.
Pros: - Price/Value: High-quality game for the price . Not glazing, this is better than most AAA horror games I've played in a while - Atmosphere: 90s era Chinese flat . The environment is grungy enough to be believeable without being splattered by blood, instead focusing on psychological scares, and effective jumpscares - Gameplay: Simple • Time taken: 1.5-2 HR walkthrough, depending on how much you look around • Don't expect puzzles, everything is hinted towards and marked, pay attention to the notes you find. • Simple gameplay loop that allows the player to go for all of the achievements without being a bore - Story: Short and sweet • Allows the player to look into it just as much or as little as they want • Some of it remains a mystery, adding to the allure TLDR: Is it worth it? YES. 10/10.
