how can it be, that a small dev team from hungary in 1999, managed to nail colony managment to look like sim city, while keeping space and ground battles interesting, with ground battles specifically taking place in the streets of the colonies you built? and why is it that no other 4x game since, managed to do the same?

Besides masters of Orion, this is the grand daddy of space rts grand strategy. While somewhat dated its still a blast to play.

Fantastic old game. I'm no good at it but I just love it. I will say that the path finding for vehicles is the absolute worst that I've ever encountered in anything though, but that doesn't really matter, except it ages you, that's all.
