One of my all time favourate strategy games. I still have the original CDs and Game Manual from 2001. The cutscenes show their age, but the rest of the gameplay works surprising well on a modern system. Still disappointed there was never a third installment, Digital Reality had some very talented developers
Love creating a instellar civilisation, building fleets and conquer your enemies. Then this is for you. I remember playing this game during my teenage years. Could not get enough of this game as I have enjoyed it a lot. Throughout my years from playing this game, I have found nothing bad about it. I love all the space battles and colonising new worlds. The story for it is good, especially you are playing any of the three races story line. I would recommend this game towards anyone who is interested into some old retro space colonization, and space battles.
how can it be, that a small dev team from hungary in 1999, managed to nail colony managment to look like sim city, while keeping space and ground battles interesting, with ground battles specifically taking place in the streets of the colonies you built? and why is it that no other 4x game since, managed to do the same?
