I think most of the people who write reviews for this game would back me up on this. PLEASE make a full game of the first third of the game. There is so much potential, maybe making different selectable hosts with their own boards and rules, or maybe just combining them all to make an endless Inscryption rougelike. I'm in love with the story they created and the card game they put passion into. I just want them to expand on it, could turn into the best card game ever!!

Dude, Inscryption is wild. It starts off as this creepy card game, and you’re like, "Okay, I know what this is." But then it flips the script and turns into something completely unexpected. The atmosphere is super unsettling—like you’re stuck in this cabin with this weird, shadowy guy who’s watching your every move. The gameplay itself is genius: it’s simple to pick up, but there’s so much depth in how you build your deck and strategize. And just when you think you’ve figured it out? Boom—there’s a twist, and it’s like a whole new game. I don’t wanna spoil anything, but it messes with your head in the best way. If you’re into card games with a dark vibe and a story that keeps surprising you, this is it. You’ll be hooked, trust me.

This game has geniuely changed my entire thought process on life, how I talk to people, and how to make friends. It's unlocked this new childlike wonder that I haven't experienced in years, and it's still the greatest feeling I've ever felt. This isn't a joke comment, it's a love letter to Daniel's games. I love your games, I love your stories, and I love your ARG games. Never stop making people smile mate. -Warden

Stage One: Regular Dread Stage Two: Confusion Stage Three: Existential Dread Stage Kaycee's Mod: Weirdly comforting and fun 10/10 highly recommend. No but actually, it's an excellent game that you should really go into blind. The pacing in some parts is slow, especially if you're not a big fan of the new mechanics introduced after the first act, but it's a pretty short experience, exceptionally well-done, and the challenge mode you get at the end is everything I ever wanted when I was playing the story, so I can't not recommend it to people. I'm honestly amazed by the sheer artistry that went into this. It's like fine art or something, you know? A painting so big and beautiful it just makes you wonder at how much went into making it, how many years of training and hours of portraiture. It's like that. Don't spoil it for yourself, trust the process, and pity the squirrels. Worth it without a sale.

This is an amazing card game, very fun and addictive. There are a lot of strategy and RNG elements in deck building and it takes a while to understand varies game mechanisms. As RNG might not always work in your favour, to understand the game's save system and limited save scumming is important for the success runs, especially in the last chapter. The story line is a bit unique and unexpected. First run takes about 35 hours for all contents. Achievements in the game are well designed. Some of them are quite challenging. While the game runs perfectly on steam deck, there's one achievement that is much easier to get on PC instead. Unfortunately there're some issues for cloud saves transfer between steam deck default version and PC version. The solution is to use an earlier version of proton (proton 7. something) while playing on steam deck, for saving on the same cloud save slot as PC version.
