Developed by Daniel Mullins, this psychological horror deck builder is not just a game, it’s an experience. With its unique fusion of escape room puzzles, roguelike deck building, and oppresive horror elements, Inscryption is a masterpiece that keeps players on edge from start to finish. At its core, Inscryption is a deck building game, but it constantly evolves. The mechanics in each act bring fresh and unexpected twists, keeping the player engaged and challenged. From sacrificing creatures for stronger plays to the game manipulating your own files, using your steam friends as cards and even more. in Act 3, Inscryption continually redefines what a card game can be. Every new stage adds complexity and intrigue, making it impossible to put down. Even though act 2 left me kinda underwhelmed at the beggining, I decided to play the game anyways and god, im glad i did. The game is a absolute masterpiece from gameplay and artstyle to storytelling, the plot twists and mechanics absolutely broke my mind. The last 40 minutes of the game and the ending got me speechless. I was like ,,what the hell just happened?!" when the credits started to roll. Inscryption is more than just a game, its an absolute piece of art. I give it a solid 9.5/10 and highly recommend it.

I think most of the people who write reviews for this game would back me up on this. PLEASE make a full game of the first third of the game. There is so much potential, maybe making different selectable hosts with their own boards and rules, or maybe just combining them all to make an endless Inscryption rougelike. I'm in love with the story they created and the card game they put passion into. I just want them to expand on it, could turn into the best card game ever!!

Dude, Inscryption is wild. It starts off as this creepy card game, and you’re like, "Okay, I know what this is." But then it flips the script and turns into something completely unexpected. The atmosphere is super unsettling—like you’re stuck in this cabin with this weird, shadowy guy who’s watching your every move. The gameplay itself is genius: it’s simple to pick up, but there’s so much depth in how you build your deck and strategize. And just when you think you’ve figured it out? Boom—there’s a twist, and it’s like a whole new game. I don’t wanna spoil anything, but it messes with your head in the best way. If you’re into card games with a dark vibe and a story that keeps surprising you, this is it. You’ll be hooked, trust me.

It's unlocked this new childlike wonder that I haven't experienced in years, and it's still the greatest feeling I've ever felt. This isn't a joke comment, it's a love letter to Daniel's games. What can I say... At first it feels like a fun rogue-like card game. But OMG IT'S SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT! I don't even want to say much. This is an experience. An experience made better by going blind. All I'll say is, yes, this IS a card game, but it all changes once you can stand up from the table...the card game isn't the whole game. The surprises, the twists, the mechanics they keep throwing at you... This game is truly special, and it'll stick with me forever. Even the ending sequence made me emotional. If you love videogame, if you KNOW that videogames are an artform like no other, then play this. You HAVE to play Inscryption.
