Good game but man, the story of a vaguely incompetent billionaire making faulty self-driving cars that always seems to be getting money from nowhere sure does hit different nowadays.

3 hours in and I'm already mad at myself for not buying this game sooner. I don't know how much I even have left, but it's easily earned the $15 it's on sale for. I've had it wish listed since before it came out. It has lived up to what i dreamed and more. Not just a sandbox. Story mode with progression. Unlock-able vehicles and whatnot. Well done.

The campaign is great, actually. It helps give you a feel for what the game's vehicle system is capable of. Maybe I'm biased because I only heard of this game long after Early Access from seeing the Auvic album. (Originally thought it was a concept album, didn't know there was a real game to go along with it…) I was kind of expecting this game to be shallow but it does a lot more with its mechanics than I expected. Started playing it more regularly to keep my room warm because the physics system is pretty computationally-intensive, and have been enjoying it a lot.

Very fun game, if you grew up playing Blast Corps on N64 like I did, this takes a lot of inspiration from it.

Instruments of Destruction... ah, yes. Satisfies your need for mass chaos and complete devastation while also looking awesome. This game is very well designed in every aspect. No spagetti tracks here, as they reset every time they glitch out. Destruction physics are top-notch, as every building actually has a structure to it, and every part has realistic behavior. Now, the music. Oh, the music. No other single developer game has this level of musical talent behind it. The trailer was absolutely epic, the actual IOD theme was amazing, and the in-game soundtracks are very hard to beat. Also, this game was developed by a SINGLE PERSON!? THIS IS AMAZING!!! As far as i know, the dev of this game is an absolute and complete GOD. IOD has a full level editing system, actually good part-to-part collision, and an unbeatable build system. Also, IOD allows you to make CUSTOM CRAWLER TRACKS. Yeah, that's right. And if that wasn't enough, there's over 200 individual maps to completely level. The build system, again, is better than any other i've seen as far as flexibility goes. Granted, it does take some time to figure out, but once you do, it feels as if you have leveled up to the max. Making parts clip through each other has never been so easy! And the 'flex' parts? TOO AWESOME. This game makes it impossibly easy to make a straight beam between two points. Simple as this: click on one point, click on another point, and, presto! A fully collidable and straight beam between those two points. Also, this game has a full rope and chain system, fully customizable controls (almost any button on a keyboard) and an AWESOME part editing menu. The map editing system is a bit more complicated than the vehicle editing system, but in the right hands, it can be used for amazing things. I still can't belive that this game was made by one person. -Quadfan620, lover of tractors and (as of late) mass destruction.
