Giving negative reviews on a quality indie game because it will not play on Steam Deck? Really? IoD is a great sandbox engineering game comparable to Besiege. Runs perfectly fine on my old GTX 1070 and I've experimented with dozens of complex creations from the workshop, no issues. Check the workshop for examples of the limitless possibilities that can be created in the game. If you can imagine it, it can be made. It's obvious the developer put a lot of work into this one.

Purchased at 40% discount. Had a decent amount of fun and a couple of laughs. Building was not user friendly and missions became repetitive. Will most likely repurchase at 60%-80% discount for when I feel like some quick destruction.

This is a fun, crazy, and chaotic game of demolition (and as I found out, engineering) The campaign is suitably long (great value) and while some missions have repetitive objectives, there is still a ton of vehicle and level variety to maintain its fun experience. I don't know how many vehicles and weapon combos there are in the campaign, but the dev found a ton of fun and enjoyable ways to blow pixels walls into much smaller pixel walls! Some of the missions are quite easy to run through, (some are designed specifically as a "break" from all of the objective hunting), and some (especially the challenges) are seemingly second-perfect and will take multiple attempts to familiarize yourself with the map and a good route to make it all work. It's well balanced as a learning curve. Further more, none of the difficulty is bad enough to make you want to stop playing. (Except maybe that first mission when you meet the [REDACTED] while you're in a slow walker-type vehicle--that one was painful but it was doable.) Anyway, there's a light story behind the game but it is background noise. It is kind of nice to have a reason why some of the crazy is going on, but it isn't needed or terribly engaging. The (new) art style is fantastic, It has this comic / cel shading thing going on. Love it. I completed the Build and Destroy Section of the game -- engineering is not my forte (ask my Kerbals about that--if you can rescue them. ;) ). But I just found that you can use mission vehicles so I don't have to start from scratch, I can play around and modify with a template. I'll see how that goes--but more destruction should be more fun! EDIT: It went well, after unlocking everything in the main campaign, there was only once or twice where I HAD to alter any vehicle for a mission. But I could see the appeal for someone so inclined. Anyway, the game is well worth the money by any measure and is a fantastical rage room delight! They dev is actively engaged and works with the community to fix bugs. As of June 7, 2025, There is a current issue with shutting down the game where it will lock up, you can still alt-tab and force it closed with Steam (At least I can, YMMV) but he is actively working on a solution, which is always good to see.

Good game but man, the story of a vaguely incompetent billionaire making faulty self-driving cars that always seems to be getting money from nowhere sure does hit different nowadays.
