There's a bit of a learning rollercoaster with this game right now. It's fun at first—the easy AI difficulty feels about right, and the mech movement is the best I've played. Then you join an online match and get destroyed. Even when trying to host your own game and play against AI, someone joins and destroys you. On the verge of giving up and posting a bad review, you decide to search online, find a guide explaining all the mechs and features, and give it another go. With some more effort, the normal AI difficulty becomes relatively easy. You realize there are massive differences in gameplay with each of the mechs, and you still get destroyed online... sometimes... other times :) The mech interior detail on PC is awesome. Seriously, take a moment just to sit back and marvel. You can tell there is a lot of passion going into this project. The VR controls are frustrating at times—I still miss switches or levers in the heat of battle, but I've gotten a little better. The 2D explosions are a bit jarring and immersion-breaking too. If you like mech combat at all, I'd say buy it. If you're on the fence, keep a close eye on it... the devs are posting frequent updates, addressing issues, and improving the game in ways that will make it much more fun for those just starting out.

Good: This is MWO in VR, it feels like MWO and the controls are perfect. It is intensely fun in feel, graphics, core gameplay, jump jets, comms, pings, all good. Bad: Mech customization is extremely limited. Missing key mechanics that give MWO depth (locational damage, optimal weapon ranges, heat management, energy management, the list goes on). Playerbase is small.

I just wanna preface that I love what little i had played of this game. Intuitive, Immersive, well made. But it is unfortunate that there is such a small player count online. I think that if the game had an offline story or other game mode at this time I would more than keep it, but with just the PvP Match making at hand with such low players I can't justify it. I do wanna say, if the Devs introduce new game modes or a campaign, I will definitely pick this game up again, and keep it. -To Black Beach Studio. I would again like to apologize for requesting a refund.

Closest thing we have to Titanfall in VR. Don't listen to the people that say it is a dead game, plenty of quest players not counted in the steam stats.
