After a year of on and off play, here are my thoughts. Pros - Low buy in price and also has a decent sized roster with also the lowest DLC price as well (so far only 1 to buy, with the second coming early 2026). - Visual design is pretty unique and pretty good audio as well (it is SD or Super Deformed so that isn't for everyone). - Decent QOL in training mode and even features a hitbox/hurtbox viewer which's pretty cool. - A large number of regular bug fixes and active discord if you want to track all things related to this game. - Solid variety of playstyles and defensive mechanics are good, as my friend described it to me is it's "Better Robo Street Fighter Five" since it has an arsenal system that is quite close to the V triggers.. with the main difference is get access to them from the beginning of the match! - Defensive mechanics are very solid, with a 1 bar reversal that works against everything (but has a small window) and universal anti projectile with a command dash and many characters also have unique movement from hovering, double jump, ground running and air dashes. Cons - I still experience regular bugs. For example, in training mode it sometimes won't go to the correct side requiring me to pick mid screen then left/right for the corners. - Pace of the game is quite slow, so don't go into this expecting anime levels of speed/mixup with many options being quite reactable outside of command grabs. I don't mind a slower paced game but it probably couldn't hurt to have some harder to react to attacks/special moves. - Mostly a discord fighter, even if you live in Europe/NA. Again there is a dedicated discord if you don't live in those areas but it's generally not the kind of game you can just fire up ranked and find matches (i'm in Australia and was fortunate to find playable matches in East Coast NA). tl;dr A great little robot themed indie fighter with rollback for a cheap price.

There needs to be more eyes on this game. I'm unfamiliar with mecha ip's but the gameplay is superb. I would say more but I can't find good enough words to describe it.

You have no idea how hard it is to find combo friendly games. The combos in this are pretty friendly an workable (Not combo mode though, that is like a game of Simon says cranked to 13). I've been rocking at arcade mode, simulacrum mode, and getting better and better in multiplayer mode. There is a road map to add a story mode in autumn which I am looking forward, but right now every character has a smooth combo set up, and attack trajectory that allows them to be super effective and not only countering someone in the roster, but also some that made have a combo trajectory that fits the player. Been bouncing between Vassago, Kaguya, Nero, and the Quing Long quite satisified with how they approach every fight and the means to select between two fighting styles that for the most part will effect one button and how that button interacts with other buttons and your finisher (some characters effected more greatly than others with more combo changes). I do hope we see more Iron Saga characters. I loved the game so much until my password one day stopped working. So seeing the whole gang together again in a different game where I don't have to cry about my lack of password and my precious super Byron. Seriously though, BYRON. I don't just want a picture I WANT HIM IN THE GAME, BRO IS A BEAST. Heck I'd settle for Apocalypse Iron Head another beloved favorite of mine. Kind of surprised we didn't get Bai Hu over Qing Long. Still I'm hoping to see a lot more Iron Saga characters playable in the future and also a Byron avatar. You have no idea how much I love Byron and just shuriken spamming the map. I absolutely recommend this game. They are still adding, so there is still more to come. GRAB IT, GRAB IT NOW!!!

The Best Super Robot Wars Fighting Game so far. I'm glad I bought this game. Still hoping that one day the Devs would add Voltes V as a DLC.

This is probably my favorite modern fighting game right now. I'm a little worried about the future of this game so I do seriously urge anyone who's on fence to try it since I'd like for it to not die out in its first year. Super fun neutral and combo game, pretty well balanced, just a solid fighter for anyone sick of whatever shenanigans are happening in SF6, T8, Strive, etc.
