It is very hard to commend this game without noting that it feels like another Fanganronpa with a price tag to it. With that being said, I just finished episode 1 in a single sitting and did very much enjoy it, notably its music actually blew me away. Some of the tracks are incredible but the game by defaults drops the music so low to barely be noticed which is a shame. The voice acting while only supporting English I initially thought some performances were great while some others were flat, was so wrong. By the end of episode 1 some of the voice work is really remarkable. The game is very tropey but if you’ve enjoyed Danganronpa in the past you will enjoy this. Definitely just read the tutorials for the mini games as not understanding especially card battles and comisodors will stagnate the trial dramatically. I’m yet to see the bad ending to the trial but the premise that there are multiple routes through a trial is super exciting and leaves me hopeful. It is a bit unfortunate that there is no announced release dates for further chapters yet. I’m not as wary of this but given its similarities to Fanganronpa’s typically cancelling before reaching their climaxes I do have concerns but I hope the fact it is on steam and a published ready to purchase game that this will not be the case. Also the game initially was unplayable with uncapped frame rate and no vsync, upon entering first person exploration the screen was blank. The issue resolved once I set FPS to 120 and Vsync on it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off it wouldn’t come off

I really like what's here, but the stuff ripped from Danganronpa THH is so blatant it's a bit insulting. If the whole game is using Danganronpa to prop itself up, I feel like it's more of an insult to the pretty well crafted narrative than anything else. It's impossible not to make comparisons when they are taking story beats / chars / concepts from a different game. But, the things that are new and original are EXCITING. Music/Voice Work/Animation/etc is fantastic and the original concepts are extremely interesting. Hope CH2 is even better.

Well, i just finished the first episode. And i can say that this game could compete with Danganronpa games. Aside from a few bugs, this game is REALLY great so far. From its Characters to Voice Actors' performance (Props to them, they really do a good job.) everything feels great. As far as i can tell, Development Team is doing their best to keep the game optimized and taking care of the bugs. Also even though we have seen one execution so far, the game seems promising about executions. (Either way, these will be better than Rain Code's ''executions'' that's for sure.) Most of the Mini-Games are also great. If you're a Danganronpa fan, buy this while it's on the sale. By the way, could Development Team tell me that when they are releasing the second episode? I can't just wait for it.

First Danganronpa fangame to jumpscare me in the middle of the night I think it deserves a recommendation just off of that Really though, this game is incredible for what it has so far. Voice acting is INSANE (Moichiro, Hiroshi, and Kaguya are my personal favorites), the card game gimmick is really fun once you get used to it, and the story had me hooked from beginning to end. I did have some small issues with gameplay (I dread the space invaders minigame), but aside from that this is a wonderful game that you should grab while it's still at the price it is now. You should buy it just cause of Hiroshi though

Very very strong start to this game. Though the game's influences are clear, it also speaks with its own voice distinct from the works that it draws from. Worth a buy. Worth two buys. Ten buys. Keep buying Kumitantei.
