This is a combined review of both the LEAVES games (Journey and Return). I absolutely can't get enough of the art style, the dreamy surreal landscapes and objects that feel like something recovered from a forgotten quirky artist's overgrown garden. The puzzles are everything from interesting and entertaining to repetitive and difficult but I just really like spending time in this world. Wouldn't mind another game in the series.

An absolutely charming game. I took my time playing this, just enjoying the whole experience. I spent a happy six hours on this little gem. The some of the puzzles were tough enough to present a challenge but not too tough to make me want to quit playing. I'm already eyeing up the next chapter and am keeping my hopes up to more games in this style, from this company.

IMPORTANT WARNING: Be sure to limit the frame rate and force vertical sync with an external app (like Nvidia Control Panel) or your CPU and GPU will blow up. Said that and putting it aside, the adventure is AMAZING. The whimsical and surreal world is beautiful. I loved looking for the next weird creature or oniric scenario. The puzzle design is extremely good and creative, and will require a REAL know for the world; some puzzles can be a real challenge. I was able to finish it without recurring to hints, but if you need them, there they are. If you like the Amanita Design style of adventure, this is totally for you!

This is a game with many puzzles that are more troublesome than difficult. The leaves and puzzles are often not related, and there are often just leaves in hard-to-see places. Personally, I don't like it so I can't recommend it, but it's a good way to kill time.
