March 2025
Alongside the game's positive reviews, there are also some negative points, which is only natural—after all, perfection is impossible. However, I have seen certain criticisms that seem inaccurate to me, and I would like to put things into perspective here. This game is a UFO in the gaming landscape—there is nothing else quite like it. The gameplay is brutal, the combat is mechanical and technical, and there is a very particular feeling in player confrontations. And then there’s the world. The universe. The only existing map so far is, in my opinion, a MASTERCLASS in level design. The level of detail in the world, the atmosphere recreated in each area, and the dozens of hidden places to explore give players a thousand different ways to approach combat in all possible situations: narrow corridors, vast dungeon halls, castle ramparts, abandoned towers, deep forests, deserted villages, riverbanks, inner courtyards, and so much more—all with an incredible art style reminiscent of the golden era of World of Warcraft! Class Balance People say Warriors and Rogues dominate. I play Rogue myself, and I regularly come across Hunters or Priests who dominate me in combat. It’s not a question of balance—it’s a question of knowledge, of combat experience. There is a much bigger skill gap here than in other games between top-tier players and casual players or those with less combat experience. That’s a choice—a deliberate design decision. Legacy is demanding. In every aspect. But make no mistake: it remains a masterclass. The developers have truly created something unique. Of course, the game still has too much farming. Some things need balancing (hello, drop rate for saws), and new content needs to be added—one map isn’t enough, and more classes should be introduced. But the developers have everything they need to refine Legacy into a truly great game, one that could become a reference in its genre. To new players discovering the game today, I would say: be patient. Learn, explore, embrace the battleground, die, and come back again. Enjoy the game, and be kind to yourself. If you’re not great at first, that’s not the game’s fault—you need time to develop a better feel for combat and sharpen those instinctive reactions. It’s a unique game with a unique difficulty, and if you love challenges and hardcore PvP, it’s probably made for you. Otherwise, if you’re more of a casual player, this game might just be too much for you.

Some advice for the devs. If you want to secure your game's longevity, design it to bypass the frustrations of a matchmaking process by letting players host game sessions directly on their own computers. This local hosting feature would support both offline play and a robust PvE mode, ensuring that even if the online population dwindles, players can still dive into the game without being stalled by long wait times. Excessive delays in matchmaking are a major factor in eroding a community's enthusiasm, as they hinder players' ability to consistently engage and progress their character development. By incorporating this flexibility, you not only keep the game accessible and enjoyable but also create a foundation to continue evolving and expanding its development, prolonging its relevance and lifespan in the long run.

15 Hour thoughts. Game has so much potential, but the balance is very off. Warriors and rouges outclass rangers so hard its not even funny. But rangers can cheese PVE enemies. . .so its kinda balanced? The quests need work, the hideout needs work, the enemy AI needs a ton of work, and the extracts need work. That being said. It is a lot of fun. So much potential. Hopefully they keep it going.

8/10. it's not that bad (as in reviews (at launch)). Good combat system. Good progression system. World interesting to explore. PVP feels skill based. Would be great to see more maps, ui improvements and optimization (this is possible due to the graphic). I guess it would be really popular with skins\battlepass monitization system but free to play

Ignore the negative reviews that popped up within 30 minutes of the games launch. The devs have been communicative and amazing. Servers were fixed with ZERO issues within two hours. The audio bug was identified and issued a hotfix, twice, with the second one fixing it completely. As far as the game goes, tons of fun. Awesome graphics and engaging extraction gameplay. Still digging into the classes to learn the ins and outs, but so far, the most fun I’ve had in an extraction game, period.
