One of my favourite childhood classics remastered ♥️ Got this and Simpsons Hit & Run along with my first own PS2 and its always stuck with me since. The nostalgia definitely has an impact on how I view this game but honestly 10/10 for a cartoony platformer from the 2000s ✌🏼♥️

Love it, a favourite from childhood. If they could just get the cutscenes/comics working for Steam Deck as afaik that's the only problem it has on that platform then it would be perfect.

Ah yes... That one childhood game that you used to play when you were like less than 10 years old and had so much memory playing it but, in reality, had never even went past the first chapter of the game because you suck at these type of games back then lmao. But for real tho, it isn't exactly that "bad" of a game considering its age and the platform it's originally made for... It has a lot of interesting gameplay with lots of puzzles, platforming, racing(?) and combat. And speaking of combat, personally, i really like it. It's not exactly that hard but it does require some timing and you needing to get the hang of its combo system. And once you get the hang of the combo system, the fighting parts kinda feel fun and somewhat fast-paced for me, me thinks. But one thing that I hate about this game is the dang camera controls. Cause I noticed how, especially for the platforming sections, there are certain angles you wanna see before, y'know, getting the perfect timing to perfectly execute the sequence of jumps, but couldn't really see them due to like an artificial restriction from seeing too high or too low. Which often result in me like constantly missing the jump and doing the whole jumping section all over again... Which can get really annoying sometimes. The story on the other hand, is very meh. And it kinda makes sense; it's a game made more for young kids rather than adults as it's a typical kid-friendly story about a young cat hero being oppressed by bad animal imperialists which leads to said hero wanting to save his people and place from the oppressors. Cue some fighting montage and defeating the baddies, and then the hero finally saves the day and get the oddly attractive (I swear, I'm not a furry) cat girl-friend. One thing that I kinda find funny about the cutscenes in the game (which honestly i didn't remember when I played this when I was young) is how bad the dialogues can be at times... Sometimes the characters sounds fine, but often it feels like they're just reading a script in the most monotonous, cringy, or even exaggerated ways lmao. So... would I recommend it? Well, if you wanna experience a PS2-era game because you have a crappy PC and you want a relatively cheap game that is kinda like a discount Legend of Zelda filled with lots of puzzles, platformers, combat, and racing(?), then you might want to consider playing this game... But, if you're aren't into those... Well, you might wanna try some "other" games, instead.
