Not a scam. I edited this review because I misunderstood what the AppID switch did to seem like it looked like I paid extra money because of this change by the dev. I did not pay extra. The game itself is pretty decent. Rough edges but good enough to enjoy it. Sorry to the dev once I saw my mistake in this review. I enjoyed the little over an hour that I did play. Positive review from me. thanks for your quick response dev. Appreciated and sorry for the misunderstanding.

So I will be updating this review as i go through the game, with that being said i will be giving my first impressions of the game. you can certainly tell this is a passion project with HUGE potential given that it is made all by 1 person, however there are some good and some bad things with the game that could be tweaked or added in the future. The Good: -The game has amazing attention to detail when it comes to the npc hubs. -There is generally everything you could want in a open world survival game with Life Effect, think dayz mixed with Star wars: Knights of the old republic. -Awesome dialogue with npcs, it feels like actual conversations and not just a 2 sentence spiel like most games do nowadays. Granted there are some translation hurdles it is however some beefy dialogue The Bad: (I am going to preface this with the fact that its not bad per say but things that could use some work) -Companions are way to strong, they have insane accuracy and are hitting criticals almost 60% of the time. -Leveling feels too fast, i understand most people want to just get to the meat of the system but i would like to feel as if i need to work a little more for my levels. -The open world itself is a bit too open, some areas will be enemy dense while others will just be empty forest, so the balance can be a bit off putting when you get swarmed or are dry on kills for a good 10 minutes. -Aiming and hitboxes for the player and enemies is kind of off, aiming as a whole is a solid base but the enemies hitboxes for crits feels i guess off center is the best way i can say it? but when you encounter human enemies it feels like they can pop you off like an MLG pro lol. -Enemies drop a lot of loot, i know you're probably thinking how is that a problem? well your inventory will fill up fast because of how frequent they will drop good loot. its ok to make players work for it so good drops feel much more special so some tweaks to certain drop rates could help there. These are the general impressions that i have from my first hour of playing and will update it further in the future, i would also like to say that if there are plans for it in the future multiplayer capabilities would be amazing! exploring this world with friends has so much potential but i understand that itself is also a very big undertaking.

I’ve been keeping an eye on Life Effect since it first popped up, and honestly? It’s got that thing, the kind of vibe that pulls you in and doesn’t let go. Combat’s got weight to it, and you really feel the consequences of every move, which I like. The skills? Easy to get into, and there’s just enough depth to keep you tinkering. Even though it’s still early, the dev’s putting in the work by updating regularly, listening to folks, and building something that feels alive. You can tell they care. It’s not polished to a mirror shine yet, but that’s part of the charm. If you’re into games that grow with you, this one’s worth a look.

This game has soo much potential. The Dev( A single guy) is very active and the game grows with every wave of his hand. It is far from a perfect adventure currently, but it is still very playable and very addictive. For the price it has to be one of the best purchases i have ever made.. If you have a spare few bucks and are prepared for a game that is constantly expanding rather then a finished article.. this game is a must.. I highly recommend this game.

I already played and evaluated the base game, but I bought it again to support the devs, because it's really worth it! It's a bit hard to describe the game as it's a mix of a lot of genres, but it's very unique at the same time; a mix of Action-RPG/Science-fiction/Adventure, and there are plenty of things to discover and do, I mean so much it's a bit overwhelming at first as it's really dense and rich in content, items, possibilities... You can only try it out by yourself to know if you'll like it. But don't make your opinion at the very beginning, as it takes some time to open (a bit much of walking/running at first) and then the potential will show off. There's only a few EA titles this rich and deep in content, and the team is very commited to make it grow, as you can see by all previous updates to base game. Thank you guys for this amazing experience!!
