I know the second game has far fewer fans than the first, and I get why. It has a different pace, different characters. There’s less Twin Peaks and more real America. It gets a lot of criticism, but I want to praise it instead. Maybe even overlook some of its rough edges, because Life is Strange 2 is a unique experience I genuinely want to recommend to everyone. The story doesn’t hold back. It starts in warmth, in the comfort of a loving family. But within minutes, everything falls apart. Safety becomes a memory, replaced by the road — long, dangerous, and filled with impossible choices. The emotional weight doesn’t build by episode — it builds by the second. At some point, you think: that’s it, this is rock bottom. And then the game hits harder. This isn’t just a story about brothers, the road, or superpowers. It’s about humanity, about choices, and the cost of kindness. There are no perfect answers. There’s just you, your little brother, and a world that isn’t always willing to make space for you. And all you have is each other. One of the game’s biggest strengths is its visual style. It’s rougher, less “cozy-vintage” than the first one. But that’s intentional. The scenery keeps shifting — forests, deserts, makeshift shelters, strangers’ homes. Everything’s constantly in motion, just like the characters. Sometimes it’s bleak, sometimes stunningly beautiful. In those landscapes, you can feel the loneliness, the running, but also life, raw and real. The music? Pure love. Every song is carefully chosen and hits just right. You’ll want to play them on repeat. They wrap around the atmosphere perfectly, right when they need to. The gameplay is quiet, unobtrusive — it lets you truly step into the role of an older brother who isn’t just surviving, but teaching someone else how to live. That’s the core of it: you’re not just choosing dialogue. You’re shaping a personality, a moral compass, a child’s response to a brutal world. And because of that, the consequences hit differently — they feel like your responsibility. Life is Strange 2 isn’t a perfect game. It has its flaws — some episodes drag, some plot twists feel abrupt. But even so, it deserves love. If nothing else, because every ending leaves you with a lesson that matters.

one of my favourite games of all time. i don’t think i have ever cried so much at a game. sean & daniel’s characters are so beautifully written, and this is a raw and honest story that did a great job at representing the current state of the world and hopefully opens people’s eyes to the harsh realities that people have to face. the game tackles a variety of hard-hitting topics in a way that is an open and honest depiction of real world issues—which is what i think makes this game so much more real. this is honestly my favourite game out of the entire life is strange franchise, and possibly one of my favourite games of all time. it’s honestly such a powerful narrative, but it is also an absolutely necessary one, as it amplifies the voices that previously have gone unheard. i can't commend it enough, it's just amazing. the graphics were top-tier, soundtrack was amaaazing!! lots of amazing songs—especially when they played on melancholy hill.. when i first played on ps i remember being so happy that me and sean both had one of the same fav bands LMAO, but seriously every aspect of this game is top notch, i don’t even have any criticisms. HOWEVER, i was going for a perfect game during my playthrough, which meant that at times i had to restart a chapter to pick up the collectables which meant that a lot of my choices became randomised and the ones i had made appeared as though i hadn't which was a tad upsetting when i reached the ending but it is what it is! sean & daniel’s brotherly relationship was written beautifully, seeing their growth both individually and together as the game progresses is amazing. (i had high-morality daniel, and sean) but srsly!!! play this game. especially with how much cheaper it is compared to when i played on ps during first release, it’s honestly worth it and you won't regret it. maybe just prepare to shed some tears, as expected with a LIS game though. <3

Life is Strange 2 is good adventure, with a story about growing up, moral challenges and society issues. The roadtrip character of the narrative offers a great variety of sceneries but also comes with a lot of problems like lackluster side characters.

Hot take but Life is Strange 2 is the best in the franchise, It has it's flaws such as side characters being non-existent but I think it helps to show that the brothers are on their own growing their bond. Story is a bit longer than what I wanted but it's very good, goofy at times. I highly suggest playing this game. (Can't wait for LiS4)

In the previous installment, LIS 1, I sacrificed everything for you, attempting to mend a shattered reality through my choices and power. Each decision was a desperate effort to restore what had been lost. In LIS 2, however, my choices and power begin to tear apart the very fabric of a once-beautiful everyday life. What was once an effort to heal has now become a catalyst for destruction. Life is really strange... 삶이란 참 묘해.
